Apart from the very first running, David Pipe no placed finishers

The last 10 BHA Rated at least 137

Five of the last seven winning jockeys had already ridden over 40 winners

Sir Des Champs 2011 the only favourite ever to win

11 winners were second-season hurdlers, the other six were novices

All bar Wodhooh and Early Doors of the last 15 ran within the last 62 days

Only three of the 10 Irish trained winners had previously run in a handicap

All seven GB trained winners had run in at least two handicaps

15 from 17 aged 5 or 6 years

13 of the last 15 finished in the first three on their previous run.

No winner has ever carried 11st or less.

No BF last time has ever won

Summary

More difficult for novices to get a run now with five previous hurdle runs needed to qualify.

Race Distance - 2 miles and abt four and a half furlongs. It's a 0-145 handicap since 2011. Only £40k to the winner. Going 17 years. I do hope the Pipes win this someday, but it's not easy for them atm. In past years their plot horse tends to get too short for a 24-runner handicap hurdle (and will be all the rage the week before). Winner has won at Class 3 level hurdle or placed at least at Listed level. Either won last time or Graded place. Winning jockey no mug and likely to have already ridden 40+ winners. Not beaten favourite last time. Usually a compressed handicap, winner's BHA rating from about 135 to 145. Aged 5 and 6 yrs or top weight. Not necessary to have run up a sequence of wins. Probably no more than 8 previous hurdle runs. Out within the last 60 days or in a G1. May have won a hurdle of at least 11 runners or front runs. Gigginstown, G Elliott, J O'Brien, P Nicholls a keen interest. Obviously WPM. If Irish trained, likely to be the horse's first handicap unless ran in this before. Irish novices to be very respected. Rarely a frontrunner but may have run over further this season. First three last time out or ran in G1. A favourite due. Conditional unlikely to usually claim more than 3lbs.

Check Navan Novice Mid January, Michael Purcell Thurles Novice Mid February.

A Pai de nom only cut to 14-1 after that seems generous B365.

18s NRNB on the Hills Specials too
Have those specials been moved? A pai de nom not showing for me, someone was talking about one the other day as well that wasn't showing up for me

My day 4 specials are all just combo bets with narciso and dinoblue.

Yeah thats where i go, I click on specials and then scroll down to the bottom to that banner, but they've stopped showing me price boosts on singles. All I can see now are boosted doubles and trebles.

I kept going in every 24 hours and putting the max stake on thedeviluno boosted price after his doncaster win. I guess they dont take kindly to that.

A Pai de Nom up 5lbs to 129. Looks lenient, best priced 10/1 (NRNB). Might even be too lenient.

Average Rating of winners in last 12 years is in high 130's though.

No point looking back that far, times have changed, minimum of 5 runs required, last two seasons he gets in.

But will that tempt more to go for it?

I was talking winners Rating though not bottom weight.

Last 2 140/141

Gav Lynch apparently put up Roc Dino for this today

Appreciate Roc Dino possibly wasn't trying much but... Shallow Bowles (4th behind him LTO) goes today in a maiden at Limerick. Little related double.

Not suggesting anything too much out of the blue but I do like I Started A Joke for this with a best price of 12/1 NRMB. Seems to have got treated leniently for his maiden win over Springhill Warrior, with a handicap rating of just 126. Almost capitalised on that at the DRF when just finding the in form and vastly more experienced Bowensonfire too good. Gone up 6lb to 132 but think there is more improvement to come over further, he is out of Soldier Of Fortune and a Flemensfirth mare. I believe Phillip Byrne is still eligible to ride in the race and though the horse could get a few pounds in UK tax, he definitely looks capable of more. Does have the 2m option at the Festival also in which he should go well if taking it up, but my feeling is that the improvement is to come at a longer trip.

One I've looked at a few times. The jockey is the reason I think he may end up here also. But thought he'd be more suited to a County personally.
