2026 Mares Hurdle

Similar to what most are saying, Ruby speaking on the PP podcast reckons IF Lossie does go for the champion, mullins will still want a runner in the mares. He suggested Jade is the most likely one.
My interpretation was also that unless lossie is very impressive, the mares is still the most likely race. Could be dangerous as I reckon BDA gives her a bloody hood race at DRF. Appreciate that was only what ruby implied, but still. Hope he’s wrong.

I do think Lossiemouth winning at DRF will be more difficult than winning the CH.

I think both him and Delargy failed to mention that Wodhooh is potentially the highest rated rival at the weights that she could face in March.
Aside from Con Hill.
So they'd potentially be opting to face the highest rated rival on a different course that they know Wodhooh likes.

I couldn’t agree more. Hope Willie sees this too!
He's not stupid. I'm sure he feels the same. The ground conditions at DRF look like being very much in her favour. I can see her being heavily backed on the day and putting in a great display. She'd surely then go odds on for the CH.

Let’s just hope she gets the job done well, for the spectacle on Tuesday….as well as my pocket 😂 still seething from not going there last season.

Yep. Wodhooh is some Mare as well. If anything happened to Lossiemouth I'd be pretty certain she would be supplemented for the CH.

Well there’s probably only Sir Gino and CHill that could disprove that, ones injured and the other forgotten how to jump!!
So darn good chance you will be proved correct.

I see Alexei is blue across the boards today. Have you guys finally seen sense and backed him Each Way at 50's ???

I suppose even if she did get beat narrowly by BDA but beat the best of the rest from the Mullins camp then she'd still go to the CH.

😂

He's taking on the current Champion Hurdler, dual Festival winner and Fighting 5th winner, so if he beats her then he could well go single figures.
Well anything’s possible, and I get what you say, but 150 rated hurdlers!!
It’s desperate stuff.

Jade a lot shorter for Mares Hurdle on exchanges than Mares Chase.

Doubt feet of a dancer going in a handicap. looks like decision between stayers and mares for her.
Bartlett for the devil as expected.

Makes sense now after the win at the weekend.

Was an easy decision to cash out the Coral Cup bet.

Nice line about Doctor Steinberg if you’re a backer.

No excuses offered by Nolan, just ‘disappointed’ to have been beaten at Navan. Sounds like they know they’ve got a good one and were surprised to be beaten by one of Willie’s less heralded ones. Saturday will be interesting.
