I think we might have seen the end of good flat horses successfully transferring their ability to the jumps game. The flat breeding operations seem to have moved the breed towards "fast and fragile" and away from "resilient and strong"
Do you think Proactif and Macho Man will re-appear beforehand Darlo?
I wouldn't rule out Maestro Conti running a big race the way he travelled last time out. The margin of victory doesn't do it justice.
I'd say that's assuming that the Irish juvenile form is stronger than the British, which I'd be far from certain about.3 horse race IMO
Narciso Has
Selma de Vary
Proactif
If you've them in the book, I'd say your safe
Mustang du Breuil would have an EW squeak if Hendo sends him
Ffs!!!Listening to the Mullins camp and Walsh I'd say it's a 1 horse race bar accident or injury.
Cobden? Not now no, simply too close isn't it
I'd have Maestro a little behind those 3 myself, he'll be a nice horse in time
I hope they do throw Proactif in here - as I think he'd have a proper chance, as opposed to a lesser one in the Supreme, be some ride for someone to pick up also

Ratings might say the likes of maestro conti have a good bit to find, but I wouldn't be so sure. Narciso has beaten mange tout and selma de vary. Mange tout form was nothing great before beating him. Selma looked like she was only there for a day out last time and could turn the form around in future, and there's question marks over how good she is too given she wasn't a top notcher in france.
Not saying I'm a big maestro fan, just that they look a fairly average bunch to me so far, wouldn't be surprised if there was six in with a chance going over the last.
Cobden?
Be silly not to. We've all seen how dominant he is.Ffs!!!
This is the Triumph
A race for juveniles!!
Don’t listen imo
I may be wrong but certainly RPRs (yes, I know) for this year's crop seem pretty low. I don't know if anyone has pre race RPRs for recent runnings of the Triumph but top rated Narciso Has is only 139 which seems low to me (East India Doc is showing 143 from last year but I don't know if this was amended in light of the Triumph result (if it was it might have been down)).I'd say that's assuming that the Irish juvenile form is stronger than the British, which I'd be far from certain about.

That's my point though, you'd be relying on those ratings being correct, which is tricky with juveniles either side of the water as there's not much linking the form.Maestro Conti is rated 1lb higher than Mange Tout (136 - 135) and he's the clear pick of the UK lot. I'd say that's 10-12lb short of what will be needed myself, and I say that as someone who has MC in the book.
Yeah that sounds about right to me. even without looking at ratings, just going by the eye test they all look pretty workmanlike. Would be surprised if there's a Lossiemouth or sir gino amongst them. More like a quilixios/zanahiyr year I'd say.I may be wrong but certainly RPRs (yes, I know) for this year's crop seem pretty low. Leave you to that then.Be silly not to. We've all seen how dominant he is.
My thinking is that Maestro conti's last race there were 5 of them within 4L of eachother. Yeah MC could have won a little easier, but he was also getting 2lbs off OHTThat's my point though, you'd be relying on those ratings being correct, which is tricky with juveniles either side of the water as there's not much linking the form.
Start of the season i had a fairly similar level of interest in narciso and maestro, and didnt think either was a clear standout. On what we've seen so far I'd be surprised if there's a 12lb difference between them, but could be wrong.
