2026 Flat Season

Taken the 20/1 on offer for Avec Toi in next years 2000 Guineas before his run today.
Could be a little sketchy as he's trained in France and Denise has boosted him for today but he has looked outstanding so far and hopefully something to look forward to come May

What are you thoughts now after the race? carried a penalty and done all the work in front. Just not sure myself with him coming over still.

This race had potential banana skin written all over it and obviously would've liked to have seen an easier win, however looking at the positives, his win at Deauville in a tough G3 was only 3 weeks ago, also like you say he was carrying a penalty this time against a good horse, went behind and still showed a lot of grit and maturity to get up and get the win whilst not forgetting he's only a 2yo. Personally I haven't lost any confidence in his ability but would prefer to see him have a longer break

Here's part of the quote from the atr link that wouldn't load - August 25th

“We are excited about next season, of course, but we take the races as they come because you never know what could happen. We are thinking about the next season in order to aim him at the right place,” he said.

“He definitely has the attitude to go up to a mile. When you run seven furlongs in a straight line, it is pretty much mile races.”

He added: “We are definitely going to aim at something huge for the beginning of next season and we will see with the owners want to do regarding him, but he will definitely go to the UK at some point.”

All roads would seem to point to a crack at the 2000 Guineas then.

“It will depend where the owners want to go,” said Head. “But if we really have the horse to do it, definitely we will take that bet.”
