2026 Champion Hurdle

I hope Lossiemouth runs for the race. It would be disappointing if she went Mares and won, just to have the same chat about she would have won the Champion all over again. Would quite like to leave that chapter behind us after this season.

Only backed BDA and not interested in backing anything else. Just hope she brings her A game win lose or draw so we can put the don't like the track business to bed. If she folds up the hill again like last year then maybe that's just as good as she is over a hurdle at the minimum.

I really want her to win though as it should set up for a fascinating couple of seasons over fences embarking on a Dawn Run mission.

Fingers crossed they all run and all put their best hoof forward so we can get a definitive answer.

I just want Lossie here to stop the chat every season about her target, doubt they'll be a better chance to win a CH either, last run wasn't her at all and we know she always acts around Cheltenham, been against her as CH type for 2 seasons but I'm doing a Willie and changing my mind at the last minute*

If she doesn't run here this year then I don't think I'll be talking about the Champion Hurdle for her in 2027!

It’s her last run that puts me off her to be honest, just did not like it in relation to winning a CH, although this is a relatively poor renewal.
If BDA performs on the day I think she wins, but there’s enough doubt about that happening.
Whatever though, there is more than enough reasons for Lossie to run in the race rather than the alternative imo.
Think GA will beat TNL, and may win again if either of the two top Mares either don’t turn up or underperform.
Tutti is a great addition to the race imo, could lead a long way and possibly upset things for the favs.

B365 have removed my cash out now, I had a double with Maj cash out dropped in the last 30mins and now removed.
 
If lossie does go champion, and rumour is paul might be going to ride karbau in county hurdle, could murcia join jade in the mares?

Would be second string in both races if paul does ride karbau, and assuming he rides jade de grugy. Better win chance in county, but better place chance in the grade one, if that makes sense.

I’m coming back to The New Lion in this. I have some fancy ew tickets on Anzadam so will be cheering him on for a place but I think TNL is the likely winner, especially if the pace is strong (and why wouldn’t it be? I think only Golden Ace would be suited by a crawl). It’s not a golden renewal and there isn’t a 170 hurdler in there but for me TNL is the most likely winner.

It might not be next Tuesday, but I’m convinced this thing is an animal and will be impressive. That run against lossie when he bolted was something else, to only get beat 6 lengths. The last day they were clearly teaching him something…..watch this space
