2026 Champion Hurdle

Still on the Anzadam train?
tbh, I need to take another look at this race - maybe before the DRF
Not been keen on Anzadam to date but I want to be backing a 2 miler, not a middle distance horse like Lossiemouth, TNL
Absolutely.

He was 33s and 25s when I was backing him, and I'm still tempted to go in again at 12s

Constitution Hill into 6/1 has to be the worst ante post price at the moment.

Just can't see Hendo risking him whatsoever
I'm all in on Lossie as people kept wanting to lay her at 8's and 9's.
So I just had a saver double with Con Hill & Wodhooh before they started cutting Wodhooh.

Terrible news for Sir Gino, hopefully he can make a recovery.

Mullins camp have some thinking to do. Regardless of who he decides to run in the race, I'd be dead against The New Lion.

BDA to win an Irish Champion, Champion hurdle and go on to win a gold cup. The Dawn Run dream still on for Gigginstown

One thing we learnt today.
New Lion hasn't exactly got a turbo injection has he.

Was that not evident in the Ballymore.

Hardly Faugheen was he?

Even Ballyburn & Envoi Allen looked to get up that hill quicker than him.

Lossie will depend on the DRF now I imagine.

She won't be turning up IF she's beat there, IMO.

Anzadam to reverse form?

Absolutely. Not much has changed for Lossie imo. Was always likely to be DRF result dependent and still will be...

No but they went a good gallop that day and he was on the bridle.
I know he beat stayers that day as it's turned out but whether he had true speed was still in doubt.
Now I know.
However, he will be a lot better off a strong gallop and if they go real quick his stamina may help on the day.
Mullins has all the cards now though in terms of how the race is run.

He doesn't need to be Faugheen to win this Champion Hurdle though.

There's nothing in there to be frightening anything off.

Agree about stamina, as @Faugheen_Machine said he'll probably nick a place. Would have to be something like last season with horses coming down for him to win now, IMO.

You just know Lossie will be beat at the DRF which will give them the excuse they need to run in the Mares and then something like Golden Ace will win it again :ROFLMAO:

Starting to think could Golden Ace be doubling up, must have a spare horse shoe up her hole that one.

Even if lossie loses to BDA next week she surely still comes here given how BDA ran in the race last year

A Horse 3-3 at the festival cant be scared off by a horse thats 0-2

It would be a disgrace if she were to run in the mares
Yeah, surely there’s no doubt now?
But who knows??!!!

Took some of the 80/1 available to me on Workahead for the CH this morning (still available at 100/1) in anticipation of his run tomorrow.

I know it's a massive risk and he has been off since the Supreme but something was amiss that day and he was incredibly impressive before that and was getting backed on the day. He might not be the same horse and tomorrow would very much be a prep run (would obviously need to run well though) but I just thought, looking at the market that there were worse bets and that was before Sir Gino so even more so now in an absolute minefield of a race
