Never out of 2nd gear, still leaves a sour taste though
Indeed
I won on her and it's still annoying
Especially because I'd have been on the winner anyway with jade de grugy
Unless con hill is back to near his best they may have thrown away a champion hurdle winner
she was clearly in much better form today than at xmas
I’d hope they consider making this a handicap after that
It just needs to be a grade 2 with a 5lb or 7lb penalty on grade 1 winners
We don't need any more handicaps

Agree about the handicaps, but do you think 5 or 7lb is stopping Lossiemouth?
She could have won with 15lbs on her back the way she done it.
Has to be a ratings cap, as per Mighty suggestion, IMO.

Would it have stopped her from winning? Probably not
Would it have stopped them from running her? I think so personally
I don't like a ratings cap personally as there will be mares who are very good 2m4f specialists that won't be able to run.
had there been a 150 ceiling jade de grugy wouldn't have run at the festival.
I don't think you can have a ratings cap in a graded race really. Just appropriate penalties.
The bigger problem for me would be you're encouraging horses to get rated below that pre festival. So Jade De Grugy would've realistically underperformed in her prep and got in below 150 comfortably...
The best solution is probably to move it away from the festival.
Couldn't they just move the mares race from the festival and run it in January or sumat ?
And add a 75th handicap for the week?
No thanks
