2024 Gold Cup

Good performance after 13 months off. Hopefully come out of the race ok and has a good chance of placing in the GC

Yes did it well in the end

Looked like protektorat was going a little quick for him in the first mile but he worked his way into it nicely and looked like he idled in front

Really likeable horse, L'Homme Presse - best price 12/1 now won't get people giddy. I'm not a fan of the horse he beat, but that horse has placed in a Gold Cup so it's not to be sniffed at.

Cracking race still at this stage, with Shishkin as well as a genuine UK contender and the main Irish contender being 2-1 up against GDC so at worst it'd be 2-2 going to a Gold Cup

Galopin best appreciate it 41 lengths
allaho beat him 24 lengths giving 5lbs
shishkin fell in the king George when schooling allaho on seasonal reappearance

Many variables here but I think you get the point

The picture that I get is GDC being 6lb clear of the field on RPRs and 7lb clear on ORs.

If there was a w/o galopin market be interesting to see what price lhomme presse was

….PP has one; 9/2 from 10-1.

Solid price that

Think he has an excellent chance of finishing second to GDC

I'd definitely have him shorter than gerri and Shishkin

Might use that in a few friday multis

Gerri Colombe straight to Gold Cup. Conflated will represent Gordon in Irish Gold Cup at DRF.

Haha, very true, but he was well beat, ironically by Conflated.
Maybe Conflated will be well beat, but right now I still find it wrong that he goes x country

It is wrong, but that's where he's going unless he wins the Irish Gold Cup

Fair enough.
As a backer I’m quiet happy with that.
This trainer is a shrewdie, knows what he’s doing for sure.

He's clearly a fragile type as well so less risk going straight there. These trainers can get them fit at home and he has won after a long break before.
