Mighty Potter into 11/10 and evens. He's a lay for me at that price beating boats last time out - I think Appreciate It could shorten significantly from 4s. Feels like connections think he's up there with the best in the yard

Just can't see how Potter gets beaten. Nothing in there scares me, he's in a different league.

I'd imagine appreciate it is a lot better than gaillard du mesnil over 2m4f so should be tested a bit more this time

Be interesting to see how he goes to post this year, Lydia hislop made the point the other day that the occasion got to him before the supreme

I get that, but he looks like a much more mature horse this year. I have him in pretty much every multiple so I really hope he doesn't let me down.

It's hard to forgive him for his performance last year. He reportedly didn't travel over well, he was fractious in the parade ring, he collided with the running rail going to post, he never travelled in the race and jumped terrible before being pulled up.
He was very good in his races before Cheltenham and since so there clearly wasn't a physical issue.
I couldn't back him with any confidence even though he looks to have the best form in the race. It's a tough one.

I will put him as the first leg of a few doubles once iv seen how he goes to post as appreciate it is my only bet in the race so far

Wouldn't touch him at that price until iv seen how he behaves before

Pre meeting he has to be the best, the most solid, of all the shorties, based on what we've seen this year. If he's too short for some of you then he he's a multiples banker.

It's not his price that worries me at all. I'd be the same if he were 10/1.

Kevloaf just listened to some proper piss boiling content.

I no longer listen to the final furlong podcast because I find Emmet Kennedy possibly the most annoying human being alive.

But, I thought I'd give it a go. Day 3 and they (no idea who) spent 10-15 minutes talking about the weather and rain suiting Mighty Potter.

They talked about the potential absence of Banbridge, even SG, but they never mentioned Appreciate It!

He didn't even get a fu*king mention!!!

I'd argue the rain suits AI more than MP.

Sounds like you came to same conclusion you started with Charlie.. confirmed piss boiling content :excitement:

Haha, I do need something to listen to on the drive down tomorrow...... anyone have any better recommendations?!

….early decs;

Balco, Stage Star, Unexpected P & C Wood.

Different discipline
Different track (new)
Different day (Thursday will be slightly calmer)
1 year older
Connections will be aware of last year can at least try and rectify last seasons antics and aid travelling over

More than happy to give Mighty Potter the benefit of the doubt.
With a single run at the track.
Personally I think he’ll be fine.
And win well.

His two market rivals are only here because they flopped in their last race and aren’t good enough for the Arkle :devilish:

(Appreciate It getting no mention in the race in any preview is absolute lunacy though)

FJs, give me some reassurance… Mighty Potter just wins doesn’t he?

Probably but I hope he doesn't as appreciate it wins me a lot more!

Haha! I’m the reverse mate. Stuck a one point double on El Fab and MP, and also GDM and MP earlier in the season at good odds and I’m suddenly looking at a 200+ point return including singles. Slightly bricking it as it would be my single biggest return on one horse (bear in mind I only started doing this last year).

Debating whether to hedge a bit by lumping on AI as the cashout is really not worth taking.

I hope so - need him so my bank looks healthier. I did think Gerri just won though soo...
