….individual race thread, it’s getting close.

I notice from Saxon’s Planning Diary, todays Mares Handicap has a decent record in Coral. Heaven Help Us won both recently, Black Tears close a few years earlier. Not sure whether anything can be taken from todays race.

I’ve taken a bit of Liberty Dance NRNB as she is most likely to be one type out of that race if she goes there. Most likely will go the MNH though you would think unless the owners want to split her and Harmonya Maker up

HMS Seahorse pretty much guaranteed to run here

a bit left field but I can see Fastorslow turning up here again & going very close.

Well worth backing NRNB Stormez

28/1 I think?

It’s not a bad shout from doctorwu to be fair. This race isn’t one I’ve looked at yet but he’s a great NRNB play as you say.

Dont think I’ve had the winner of the race since Monkerhostin!

I am lead to believe the Plate is the plan, but no harm NRNB

Theatre Glory makes plenty of appeal for me, ties in with the Mares angle and Henderson does have a great record in this race. Also think Green Glory is still interesting if he turns up here, if they both did I'd have to have a few quid on the Glory reverse forecast!

Camprond, the hood/jokcey and huge drift confirmed Sat was another float up and prob be down to 140 come Tuesday which was what he was last year when lining up. Thought he was a solid play last year prior to the torrential rain and that definitely scuppered any chance he had of winning thou a respectable 4th. Obvs this season this hasn't been a long term target given gone chasing but since that has been shelved and two quick float ups after falling early at xmas he's obvs being saved for a spring pot now and I'll not be able to not have a pop at him again and know a few already have. One for any shortlist IMO.

Yeah forms pretty uninspiring at first glance and could well be 20s come the day but if folk can get odds and sods at that wouldn't put anyone off. Hobbs far from my fav trainer but he's campaigning low end 105/110 type horses well(buried on 2/3 starts) then winning/going close well backed of late so hopefully he's being shrewder across his whole string.

The starting point when looking at the handicaps for me is look at the first few in the market from the previous year and see what price they are now.....

If Camprond was good enough to be a 10/1 shot last year, use that as a base and see what price now and why is he more/less likely to win.

40/1 for a horse than came 4th is solid.

20/1 is fair too..... I'll do a deeper dive closer to the time, 40/1 (even though only a fiver e/w) is an autobet.
