2023 Bumper

There wasn’t much talk of Doctor Bravo yesterday but I thought he finished the race off very well. Gordon has suggested his next race will be a bumper, and surely they won’t take on a novice hurdling career in the new year? Does he have a chance in the Bumper?

Another point, BDA ran crap at Down Royal along with Mighty Potter and others of Gordon’s. King of Kingsfield ran average and won his bumper, albeit not in tip top fashion. He is entitled to improve significantly as BDA did too and could again be a real player come March.

Today was a nothing race really for CDS.. Slow pace, hung like a donkey, and done for speed against a race fit rival. No doubt he will be entered at Leopardstown at Xmas going L/H and we will see a much improved performance.

These bumpers throw up some strange results when they crawl like that.

CDS hated going right handed. Stayed on well at the finish, would be much better on a left handed track if there’s nothing wrong with him.

Good win by the winner though to make up for his last run

Not sure you can use RH as an excuse today as his PTP was RH too so would think he wouldn't be too bothered by it

Only mentioned this as he was hanging left all race especially on the corners. Patrick was finding it hard to pull him right. It could be that he has some sort of injury on the right side or that he had tack issues. Either was he was going out to the left all race

Indeed

You'd think it's very possible he hits the 130+ rpr that saxons diary says is key for being a big contender in the champion bumper

Hope some got in 40/1 today and March. An early Xmas Gift.

When's Croke Park running? Think he could yet have a say too. Wide open this year.

We are all waiting for Vega's sister.

Any one got any quotes from either?

He's a nice horse. We thought he would win the first day but he's a proper horse and is one to look forward to. He'll stay in bumpers this season," Elliott said.

Nothing like Facile at home.. Obviously race course performance is different but..

She'll come to life on the racecourse like her big bruv

Boooooom !!!!!!

Been waiting to see which way this fella was going, but admit I’d almost given up hope for the champion bumper after his first run

I remember when Vauban was beat first time up last season (albeit over hurdles), think 365 pushed him back out to 16's and well, the rest is history.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see a serious performance from CDS next time up.

What is the talk on Twitter?

Maybe it was the keenness that had him pulling to the right but if it wasn’t unsure how the going LH will see him in a better light ?

Interesting nto, could lightning strike twice & then the hood reached for to get him to settle like Ferny.
