2023 Antepost Flat Racing

I'd rather he didn't lead to be honest. Preference would be for a prominent position like but I don't think he needs to lead by any means.

Really depends how fast the coolmore horses go

If they go off quick, which they probably will, being prominent won't be the place to be

Alexandroupolis could prove popular in the market especially with ground conditions as they are. Was their Derby horse this time last year. They've been very patient with him and AOB said in his video that he'd improve hugely from his last run.

Finally got Paddy's to cut the 20s on Savethelastdance :welcoming: They've halved it into 10s!

Master of the seas at 6/5 in the Woodbine mile against those American Turf horses looks a good roll up opportunity for anyone who does them

Hopefully Savethelastdance goes better :emmersed:

Must be soft enough for Trueshan to win though!

:welcoming:

There’s been some good performances at Donny the last couple of days but the one that really took my eye was Dancing Gemini on Friday. After winning his maiden Roger Teal said that the horse gave him butterflies and whilst I appreciate he’s not the most prolific trainer, he has had a couple of good ones over the years, He went some way in justifying those feelings on Friday travelling sweetly throughout and hitting the line hard in a time ran over a second quicker than the Champagne Stakes yesterday. He’s also superbly bred being by Camelot and out of an Australia mare. I took the 20s available for the Futurity immediately after the race but think the 12s available now is still a very fair e/w price.

AMELIA'S JEWEL runs this weekend but what big race is she likely to head for if her prep races go to plan?

14/10 Toorak h/c OR King Charles III

28/10 Cox Plate OR 4/11 Golden Eagle

A head scratcher to say the least as there's no cash out so I've just backed her for the lot :eagerness:

I'm really hoping she ends up at the Cox Plate.

If she goes to the Golden Eagle then she'll be on a potential collision course with Legarto and possibly Giga Kick

Nothing in concrete yet, but.....

Looks the right race for her PM and 10s still looks ok… thought she looked all class on Saturday.

What do you make of Romantic Warrior… I can’t work out whether he’s a good fav or one I want to take on?

Yeah, good question MS. RW is a great horse with an amazing win rate/prize money and is probably a worthy favourite on paper but I do wonder how he'll do at the Valley on possibly good to soft or even soft ground.

So it's not so much that I don't like him it's just that I really like Amelia's Jewel. Her races at Ascot should help her and listening to Simon Miller he's trying his best to keep a lid on the hype but she keeps surpassing his expectations. They don't know her ideal distance yet and have no idea what her ceiling is and that's probably the main reason I'd take on the fav if they do decide to take the hard option.

edit : Here's her race from Saturday

I’ve taken the 10s and followed you in PM… she could easily become the next darling of Australian racing and we might not get chance to back her at such big odds again so worth the risk on target IMO, thanks for highlighting.

Australia and NZ have some very exciting mares worth backing atm with Amelia's Jewel, Imperatritz and Legarto.

Back from the dead.
Shame O’Brien took Auguste out.
He might be going in with the wrong supplement.

Back from the dead :highly_amused: Don't blame them now they'll get the ground they want and can take their chance in a wide open race and don't have to travel half way around the world.
