2023 Antepost Flat Racing

Playing Prince of monaco in the breeders cup Juvenile in a few doubles/trebles with cheltenham horses, leading Juvenile in the states, with baffert and this years will be in his backyard in santa Anita, I very much doubt city of troy will run due to all the issues with the dirt over there lately

How about TAMARA in the juvenile fillies, she was exceptional :onthego:

Yeah, I understand.
It was still a mess from all connected though, as pacemaker did not assist, as he ended up with too much to do.
Wouldn't write him off as the German got first run, but the price influenced me to back the German, and his jockey is decent/experienced enough.

He's a nice horse Q, another one who'll be looking for better ground though, Benjy23 wants it to piss down, think we need a Longchamp long-range weather forecast thread :frog:

Yeah, I've only backed 2 and both sets of connections are saying similar stuff.:02.47-tranquillity:
Have Auguste Rodin as second leg of a double with GDC (gold cup 23) from October last year, as well as the German horse I backed last week.

Looks like I want better ground than Benjy. :highly_amused:

Arrest for me

With the ground now gd, gd to soft in places and bits of rain forecast each day he is the play at 8/1

Supposed to have been raining all day at Doncaster

With the heavy dews we get in the morning each day at this time of the year that should guarantee the ground being gd to soft at best

That will be enough to guarantee him running, if it gets to proper soft ground which is possible with the forecast hes the one to beat imo

Hopefully havlin doesn't ride him with frankie set to stick with gregory

One for the diary

Melbourne Cup weights will be released by chief handicapper David Hegan no later than Tuesday September 19, 2023.

Lobos .............

I really don't care what he gets. It won't be enough to stop him. He's absolutely made for the race and Willie is finally taking that Cup home for the first time.

I'm going in again.

Looks like Fantastic Moon will be heading to the U.S and Japan, according to this report.

AMELIA'S JEWEL runs this weekend but what big race is she likely to head for if her prep races go to plan?

14/10 Toorak h/c OR King Charles III

28/10 Cox Plate OR 4/11 Golden Eagle

A head scratcher to say the least as there's no cash out so I've just backed her for the lot :eagerness:

I'm really hoping she ends up at the Cox Plate.

If she goes to the Golden Eagle then she'll be on a potential collision course with Legarto and possibly Giga Kick

Looks like Frankie on Arrest in the Leger and Shoemark on Gregory.

Edit: Confirmed now.

Not convinced it'll actually end up being that soft. 21 degrees a gentle breeze and no rain tomorrow. Donny usually drains pretty well doesn't it?

Suspect it will end up either soft/good to soft in places or good to soft/soft in places

Depending how much rain they get today

They were probably putting water down last week and we get very heavy dews in the morning at this time of year that will put more moisture down

Suspect gregory will drift now so will add him to my arrest bet if he gets big enough

Not convinced by continous, middle earth or desert hero myself

Can see Tower Of London Running a nice race

Reckon it'll be good to soft. And fine for Gregory.

Only thing that puts me off is Frankie riding him in work yesterday and not Arrest and then making the switch afterwards.

The main problem for gregory will be Denmark and alexandroupolis

Coolmore will be making sure he doesn't get any easy lead to try and set the race up for Continous and Tower of London
