He has Gerri Columbe though, I think three stripe life might go to the martin pipe

They think a lot more of TSL than GC, so of the two I would more likely see TSL going the Ballymore. GC apparently doesn’t show much at all at home and they think TSL is one of their best novices.

They will either both go there or GC will not go to Cheltenham like Gentleman’s Game and Teahupoo did last year for the owners.

Guily Billy....I'm not sure what to say really. I didn't have him backed already and I feel vindicated off that first effort. Just seemed to find nothing when it came to it. I'll watch again as maybe he didn't like the heavy ground but I'm not in a rush to get in my book.

Weird race, had it all entirely his own way, jumped well. Not convinced it was the greatest ride you'll ever see in the latter stages.

Looks a bit of a boat doesn’t he, caught proper one paced at the finish. Could have disliked the ground but equally suspect margin of defeat could have been even worse on a quicker surface. Thought we were going to see a proper aeroplane when he absolutely pinged the first!

…..Guily Billy out to 66-1 for Ballymore, still 25-1 AB. Today disappointing but prices suggested he was one for a distance so today might be on the sharp side for him.

Agree with this sure Rachael would like that one again perhaps looks more a stayer think probably not made enough of his stamina out front and let the winner get an easy run on him close home

Should be winning that but always looked a stayer, I guess this proves it.

Are these facts or opinion? I’ve never seen anything comparing TSL and GC before.

Believe Gordon has said that although GC doesn’t show much at home he does his talking on the track and they’re excited about him this season. No direct comparison to TSL mentioned. Gordon had the 1st and 2nd in Ballymore 2020 so pecking order isn’t a put off for me

That’s my impression too. They may think a lot of TSL, as do I, but I don’t think they’ve made a direct comparison to GC. Trainers tend to avoid doing that as I doubt owners would be too happy hearing it.

I couldn't quote him but I thought I read/heard that Gerri was very well thought of too.

Yes they are both spoken of in high regard for sure. It’s just the comparison I was seeking clarification of as I’d never seen or heard that before.

Gordon is a creature of habit. Three Stripe Life is this seasons Abacadabras in my opinion. If I'm right he will stay at two miles.

I hope you’re wrong as I only have him for the Ballymore. He’s a tough one to pin down though for many reasons but I think he’s going to be really good. To do what he did in the Festival bumper given the prelims, racing keenly and having only one race under his belt was massive.
