Winning this would maybe put him too high for an Irish National tilt?

Could be between himself and Karl Der Grosse for the NHC and Irish National. Karl not running who is on a lowly mark may be one for the Irish.

KDG declared for 2 mile 3f race at Limerick so the NHC would be less likely for him now I'd say.

You never know, won over 2m7f last month beating busselton easily giving weight.

Strange dropping 4f but maybe not much for him in the immediate future.
 
I think you'll find that Willie made the entries before talking to the Riccis.
 
Nice debut from Tea Clipper against much more experienced horses over fences. He looks an out and out stayer and the NHC could be the race for him.
3rd in the Coral Cup last year so some course form
 
After nearly backing at 10/1 and deciding not to with question marks after a year sidelined ontheropes has been backed like it can’t lose for the Munster national. Probably antepost fav for this if winning today you’d have to think.

Munster chase could throw up the NHC winner . Ontheropes, Fairyhill Run, Calvary Master....
....all with big chances today.
 
Had another point on Ontheropes @ 20/1 for NHC before the race today

Wasn’t aware he had to be honest. Is very short now even account for the none runner, be interesting to see if he drifts out a bit or not before the off
 
An Ontheropes win might not be best for NHC backers. A staying on close place may be better.
