2022 Grand National

French trained winners of the race - are there any ?

Wouldn’t put me off although I do take on board the comments elsewhere regarding the jockey

...I took 28-1 Easyland as well as small interest in the X-Country/National Hills special at 56-1. A concern now would be the trouble it had jumping the Aintree fence on the Cheltenham XC course.

Presenting Percy in my book @ 33-1; and Ramses de Teillee @ 50-1.

Percy looked good today

Had Milan Native in mind for this since his win in the Kim Muir. Saw he’s as short as 25/1 in places so had a swing at a boosted 60/1 with Ladbrokes.

Never too early right

The winner runs over hurdles at clonmel today

Burrows Saint

.....had a little on the 250-1 offered on ClothCap winning the Ladbroke/GN and 28-1 for it to be in the 1st 6 in Ladbroke & placed in GN.

i remembered this time last year talk of a tilt at the GN so I imagine it’s the aim.

....absolutely. Talking generally, I think the considerably shorter prices are with Sky because they are already NRNB.

Kimberlite Candy is only available at 33/1 with Coral and Ladbrokes now.

The Becher run was really good considering how weak he was in the market and I think he'll be just about favourite in the day.

Hopefully it'll be a spin over hurdles to protect the mark and then all systems go for the GN.

2pts win 33/1 Kimberlite Candy.

....Lord du Mesnil put up by Sporting Life’s Matt Brocklebank today @ 66-1.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Le Breuils rating there

I assume O’Learly’s comments today about Tiger missing the race were aimed at the handicapper ?
Or is he just short of attention again...

....I took the 250-1 ‘win Ladbroke/GN’ and the 28-1 place offers for Cloth Cap with Hills. I’d have backed it anyway, so nice tickets to be sitting even if probably worthless in the long run.

I like Burrows Saint @ 33-1, followed you in on that one.

Cant see the 33s lasting long as 365 are comfortably standout price, most decent firms are 20s

Thought his claims were so obvious to need explaining

Was more pointing out that he was now 33s in a place presumably pushed out after the galmoy

just watch his irish national back that says it all
  1. He jumps like a stag
  2. Hes a strong traveller
  3. Hes a strong stayer
  4. Hes now the right age which he wasn't last year
  5. Hes unexposed and open to improvement
  6. Hes been campaigned over hurdles for a good while to protect his chase mark
  7. Hes trained by a genius
  8. He'll be ridden by Paul townend
he gets there fit and firing id be shocked if he was bigger than 10/1
