I'm still the only one making a case for Whatdeawant at 50s. Have a look at his race with Kilcruit. You couldn't even see him in the final furlong over 2 miles until he flashed home for an unlikely place. He will love the step up in trip and Mullins will no doubt have a plan for him this year.

…..interesting, as low as 20-1 with PP. The 50-1 with cash-out seems sensible to get onside.

If covering a large portion of the field and building a book is the aim then he’s a very good proposition at that price. As I limit myself per race, he didn’t make the cut for me.

That is exactly what I do, I have lost a fair few accounts doing it this way but I utilise free bets with mine and the Mrs accounts and at 50/1 it was fairly easy for me to get on board.

I (perhaps wrongly) assumed that the owners would want to win the race that they sponsor??

Well Bardenstown Lad was lazy, no concentration at all, jumped scruffy at times but still won. I LOVE him, just my type of horse pricking his ears at the finish the little sh1t.

Reminds me of Paisley Park. Took 50s just before the off.

….Hills still 50s afterwards. Strange sort of run, pushed along at times yet closed up and won with the 2nd not really making the ground despite looking a big threat jumping the last.

If look back at this later I will probably change my opinion and see it wasn't anything special, maybe it was just I've missed it for so long but I fucking loved that! Really got the heart "racing" The jumps are back baby!

….Hills now 40-1 from 50-1.

Surprised he's not really been cut after today and still plenty of juice in that price imo. Plenty of positives and his target is almost assured.

John McConnell saying on Twitter that he hopes Bardenstown Lad can take "a similar road" to Streets of Doyen. Not a bet I'm getting on board with but can see why people want to back the Bartlett in light of those comments

Yeah - full tweet

”Great win to get, despite a little tack malfunction. Hopefully he can take a similar road to Streets Of Doyen who won this race last year. Well done to connections ”

B365 at 33/1 now. Took 50s last night. If his saddle slipped too as well as looking like he couldn't give a toss for 5/6th of the race then even 33/1 is massive value. Roll on march.

Gelino Bello won well over 2&1/2m in what looked a decent maiden hurdle at Aintree today and the way he settles should give him every chance of staying further. His bumper form has been well franked this week (Good Risk At All's hurdles debut is eagerly anticipated) and he looks a worthy candidate for this target though a quote of 14s (Unibet) may be an overreaction. Nicholls seems to like him without being overly flattering when pressed and referred to 'two very nice ones on Tuesday' (Mr Glass & Stage Star I believe).

D Jacob on O'Toole

He's a really nice horse to look forward to for the year; very, very excited about him. He likes his jumping, he's a real nice NH type of horse and I think he's going to be a really exciting horse to go novice hurdling with this year.

That Newbury bumper couldn't be working out any better. Was really taken with Fry's horse at Newton Abbott. Same race they won last year with Metier.

Bill Baxter running the back end of next week and won't be missed given the recent "hot form" of the bumper, already getting Kalashnikov vibes about Good Risk At All, smaller yard who could win a couple of nothing events and slide under the radar for the betfair hurdle(optimistic i know)
