2017 To Win Any Race

Agree Kevloaf, Annie 5/2 is huge

I was impressed with Death Duty today. Won as expected but think there is a lot more to come from this horse. I was out all day so have just been able to watch the race. I think he is very likely to contest the Albert Bartlett and was hoping I could get 20's still but he's best price 16's tonight.

For anyone interested in taking that price - WH have him at 14/1 any race (i have taken this)

Do any bookmakers offer multiples in this market? WH used to but don't seem to this year.

Not at the moment...No benefit to them in doing it either really... and if they did all the prices would contract too. Shame, but I like thios market (probably obvious as I have posted about 9 in every 10 comments :triumphant: )

Death Duty beaten over 2m by BBB who wants further according to Elliott and the win today looked like 2m4f wasn't beyond him by any stretch. At 14/1 compared to 16/1 that is worth having a go on for sure...

Haha yeah would be too good to be true!

It's not a market i've really exploited in previous seasons as I always felt the prices were far too short and i'd prefer to take the risk for 6-8 points more on the price for a specific race but you've been highlighting some cracking examples where by the difference between the 2 is minimal or worth taking our the risk of a target change

I think Ista said earlier on he likes this market for that reason... I am playing a bit this year/season with just backing things as singles so it is turning out to be a useful market for me.

I got stung with the Faugheen injury last year twice.... Not just on the machine but because I had Annie Power in the mares hurdle at big prices in loads of bets.... Having said that, I don't think I was getting bigger than 5/2 for Annie in the mares and I decided that (Barring injury), on the day, I will hopefully be sitting with a wedge on Annie at what I consider fantastic value.

I also think 10/1 on Battleford to win any race is a nice price...

Beaten a nose in the bumper and I can't figure out which distance is most likely. I expect Ballyandy to be Neptune at minimum and Battleford had Ballyandy off the bridle before the turn but Ballyandy just stayed past it... Either way, Battleford being that close to Ballyandy isn't a negative and Ballyandy has nice form against Moon Racer too from this season ... with all 3 options a possibility (unless anyone has any info) I think its a nice price...

I'm tempted with Invitation Only in this market. I had considered him an ideal Neptune type but there's been quite a few mentions of him being more a stayer, with Patrick Mullins highlighting the Albert Bartlett could be his race.

He looked impressive in both his runs last season and more importantly I can't get the fact he's always the first novice hurdler that is getting a mention by all around the yard. He's definitely a horse i'd like to have on my side.

He seems an ideal horse at this stage for this type of market and the 10/1 on offer for any race isn't too bad considering he's 14/1 best price neptune.

Invitation Only has made plenty of '5 to follow' lists... looked to be right near the top of the bumper horses in the yard so 10's will be better than the likely SP in either... a good .... they've probably got the risk regarding target and 4 point cut right. Would probably go for any race 'win only' if I we're to part with my cash now...?

Melon is 14/1 for Any Race with Betfair and 12/1 to win the Supreme with them... interesting :encouragement:

Climb in....................then wait for the e-mail that claims 'irrevocable error' as they void the bet

David Jennings put up Invitation Only on Racing Post podcast as an ante post bet in the 'to win any race' market. It probably means that the price will have gone by the morning

Blow By Blow beating Moon Racer form still hasn't taken a knock either... 10s available

Invitation Only entered up over 2 miles this weekend. Glad i've got him any race!

In the past Mullins has stated that the trip is sometimes irrelevant for his novices - it is just about running whoever is the most forward at the time and getting the runs into them. I think this year more then ever this will be even more important to remember. I know he usually doesn't kick things off until about now anyway but the lack of rain so far this year means Willie may be forced to run his horses wherever he can over the next month or so

Nice to not have to worry!

Willie runs a lot of his novices over different trips purely down to the fact he has so many and there are limited races available. I would not take this as a pointer that Invitation Only or any others entered will be campaigned over 2m. Just looking at the breeding of Invitation Only (Flemensfirth) points towards the Neptune as a minimum for him to be seen at his best. In fact, I don't recall many Flemensfirth progeny being competitive over 2m novice hurdles.

O O Seven put in at 10s any race.... seems some debate about JLT or RSA but the race he won has thrown up plenty of good horses in the past

12s available for Battleford

"You'd hope he could be one of our leading novice hurdlers this season.

"I see him as a more of a stayer, but I think he has enough ability to be competitive over a strongly-run two miles."
