Wonder what price you can get for JOB/JP to train/own the winner of this race. It'll be crazy short but will save a lot of man hours working out which ones are dogs and which are the plot jobs :devilish:

Just pick the best rated flat horse ...worked well for this race in early years.

Just noticed that Master Blueyes only went up 1lb for his win last week. Must have a decent chance in this race.

Check out this weeks Weekender as it seemed to suggest that he'd be kept back for Aintree as he'd appreciate the longer run in....

I've took 14/1 Nrnb, just in case. Seems too good an opportunity for them to pass up.

Housesofparliament, Joseph O'Brien's one-time ante-post favourite for the JCB Triumph Hurdle, is likely to miss Cheltenham and the rest of his juvenile campaign after suffering an injury when disappointing at Leopardstown on Sunday, his trainer has revealed.

The St Leger third suffered a cut when finishing seventh of eight, some 43 lengths behind Mega Fortune, in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle.

O'Brien, who also saddled the sixth, Bhutan, and last, Sword Fighter, said: "Housesofparliament is likely to be out of Cheltenham and probably the rest of the season. He suffered a nasty cut to his knee in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown. I'm not sure as to when exactly the incident took place in the race.

"It's quite a bad cut and we will need to give him a few weeks before re-examining it. Hopefully he will be ok but at this stage I would say it is likely that he will be out for the remainder of the season now.

"Bhutan was having just his first start over hurdles at Leopardstown and should learn from that but Sword Fighter was probably a little bit disappointing."

O'Brien still has Landofhopeandglory, whose price ranges from 10-1 to 20-1, for the Cheltenham Grade 1 and added: "Landofhopeandglory remains an exciting horse in the juvenile hurdle ranks but he will need to run once more before we make any Cheltenham plans for him. We plan on running him in a Grade 3 juvenile hurdle at Fairyhouse later this month and then make a plan from there."

Kings website had this which suggested skipping the festival for a later race back there...
"...like Master Blueyes, who gained an overdue success and could skip the Festival and wait for the Grade 1 Anniversary Hurdle at Cheltenham,..."
Both this and the weekender comments were before they knew they'd only gone up a pound, so could still turn up?

You'd have to bring Divin Bere into calculations after Master Blue Eyes win there. Divin beat him on his only UK start giving him 4lbs and will surely improve on that performance too. He might be too near the top for trends backers but on form he could be very well treated now.

That's Master Blueyes gone. Back to the drawing board

MB owners stating that he will go to cheltenham now.

MB fav with most books now, even those not NRNB. Surely won't run in this now?

No chance now - Trainer & owners quoted as saying Triumph next (hurts as I had it at 20s for this in various bets) but has to have a live chance in the triumph on that evidence - beating a 142 rated by 11 lengths !

Have found one horse that ticks a lot of boxes quite big odds as well. As Master Blueyes looks set for Triumph if any race. There one from a small yard. Deauville Crystal. Won last time out, filly, beat older horses as well last time. Never run at Cheltenham.

Seems like you aren't the only one that spotted this Jackie! Price collapsing...

I'd want NRNB - must be a chance it becomes Hendersons triumph horse if they decide to miss Cheltenham with Charli (which I think likely) The stable had Dompom for this & given the progress likely having seen Master Blueyes must be tempted to go Triumph ?

Yeah I had my eye on the race purely for this reason. I'm holding fire until Tuesday as there is a chance Divin Bere could be rerated and given a new rating.

Divin Bere up 2lbs to 139

And no mention of him in Nickys Stable Tour on at the races.. Plot thickens!
