Skybet - Supreme since before christmas
PP - Championship Races for about a week

Slowest I can remember in this era of online gambling.
 
We should post the exact dates ready to refer back to year after year
 
Once PP goes nrnb then Boylesports usually follow for championship races
Worth remembering that Boylesports counted the Ryanair as a championship race last year

But I do remember bookies taking some abuse last year for going NRNB very early and having a skewered market with multiple odds on shots (all Mullins of course) in the same race.
The expanded festival has created this and although it hasn't killed AP betting it's made it such a challenge, I'd love to see bookies declare 'winnings' on AP bets struck for horses who don't make it/change targets.
The whole Vautour episode last year must have ended thousands of accas, yankees etc
 
Here's something that I've been wondering about.
Say Cheltenham was to be abandoned due to the weather or Foot & Mouth (both happened before), do the bookies refund all antepost bets, even if the horse has already been declared a non runner?

They only become Non Runners when they forfeit at the next declaration stage, so if you backed Valseur Lido last week for the Ryanair although connections have said he's suffered a season ending injury, he is still a declared runner until the next declaration stage (when that is I have no idea).
So, if there's a complete abandonment announced tomorrow you'd get your money back
 
They'll have cleaned up on the injury to Faugheen too last season as most bets stuck on him will have been well before NRNB.

I like when B365 go NRNB at the end of February because that's the green light to get stuck into the handicaps.

Absolutely. I'm delighted ITV racing don't speak to the Bookie reps anymore as they all spoke bollocks imo, and couldn't lie straight in bed.

Plenty Zipiter.

Double W's is one I really like in the novice handicap. He's rated 139 so is guaranteed to get a run. He also has some nice course form for his hurdling days and I like the way Jefferson has got him a mark of just under 140 before Christmas and then (appears) to have put him away until march. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a spin Iover hurdles in the next few weeks as a sharpener.

North Hill Harvey and Campeador are both obvious contenders for the County Hurdle.

Have you got your eye on anything?
 
ive had a bet on Cause of Causes.

Im liking Wait for Me in the County. 3 lengths 3rd to Moon Racer in the Champion Bumper in 2015 and just headed for 3rd in County last year.
 
Ive had a bet on Cause of Causes aswell. The handicaps are a tough one to crack at this time but theres some great prices if you can figure them out
 
It'll be some celebration on here if Cause of Causes wins :very_drunk:
 
Could Some bite end up in handicap of 152 ?
 
Worth keeping a eye out for horses ballot ed out in handicaps or rated above handicap limits - should normally be refunded

My old man knows one of the owners so I have told him to ask him what the plan is when he sees him.

I think he'll be 25/1 for a while yet.
