2016 Triumph Hurdle

To be fair willie just gave a lovely interview with mick fitz on at the races and talked about the horses running today plus those due to run at the festival, he felt Bellshill was beaten to far out to be a true running, weill see if something is amiss in his scope tomorrow and will now spend the next 5 weeks getting him ready for Cheltenham, he advised that footpad goes for the triumph but felt lets dance would learn a lot from the run and come on again so could be a nice lay for the triumph as well

So Fixe Le Kap has been made favourite after this weekends results, the one that interests me that is through virtue of form surely Apples jade ahould be shorter than 16/1 having beaten footpad the last time and footpad won on the weekend beating what was supposed to be a field of stong contenders for this triumph, do people think that result wasn't just, I think i'll take a nibble at that price e/w to confirm the form, however the race really is blown open and i liked tommy silvers performance today and I'm interested to see what rating he gets

Timeform

Over to hurdling, and the Gain Spring Juvenile Hurdle, which has proven a useful Triumph Hurdle pointer in recent seasons, with the likes of Our Conor and Tiger Roll having used it as successful preparation for juvenile Festival success. The big story of the race was that hot favourite Ivanovich Gorbatov – as short as 9/4 for the Triumph beforehand – failed to find much improvement from his impressive debut victory at Christmas. Less testing conditions could see him to better effect, and although his Triumph claims were dealt a blow here, he remains with potential, now Timeform-rated 142p. The winner Footpad (144p) showed improved form under a change of tactics, and led home a 1-2-3 for Willie Mullins, with Allblak Des Places (141p) in second, and Let’s Dance (134p) – who was interestingly the choice of Ruby Walsh – back in third.

Overall however, the British may just hold the edge in the Triumph at this stage, with Fixe le Kap (146p) and Gibralfaro (144p) heading a strong home challenge which also may consist of Tommy Silver (137p) who got off the mark in a weak-looking renewal of Musselburgh’s Triumph Hurdle Trial on Sunday.

I am inclined to stick with Lets Dance ew at the current prices.

Beat me to it with the vid Mayo :encouragement:

I think when the Irish all beat one another an English horse wins.

Tommy Silver going straight to Triumph now - form ties in closely with Fixe le Kap but still available at over twice the price - Nicholls saying ground wouldn't have suited for Sundays stroll at Musselburgh as went soft.

I am still tempted to have a ap bet on Leoncavallo at 33/1. Someone mentioned here he has had a long season which would put you off, but does anyone know what the plans are with this horse?

He is 85 on Betfair so maybe something amiss ?

Id like a Ferguson stable tour. Also interested in P Pavilion for the Supreme but no news since disappointing behind Shantou Village.

Looking at the race now I already have my ante post on ivanovich gorbatov but aftet his run I'm liking the chances of let's dance and also at the odds i fancy tommy silver to turn the tables with new favourite fixe le kap, there's enough reason to think so and he's more than double the price

Nicolls on his best one

On ratings Connetable is the highest at the moment but I don' think there's a lot between him, Adrien Du Pont, Tommy Silver and Clan Des Obeaux! You never know, it could still be one of the ones that hasn't raced yet

They're a nice lot, I think Tommy Silver has plenty of improvement in him. Clan Des Obeaux also looks very nice but Tommy Silver would look like the one with the most scope for improvement

Strong word that Hendersons horse at Sandown today is the yards Triumph hope and is much better than Fixe Le Cap, 20s available now for the race, been told will win well today and be much shorter after the race

I still think the form of that race was suspect that protek des flos won, think the leaders have themselves little chance going at it so far from home

And certainly didn't bowl me over with that performance

To be fair he will be better for quicker ground, won 4.5l and the second pulled 21l clear of the third, don't think he could have done an awful lot more.

I wouldn't be looking into any of the form in the past month or so, it will mean nothing if the ground dries up.

I should add that my earlier post was based on what I'd been told by someone reliable whilst at Sandown today.
I can't state how/where the info was gained as it compromises the individual, I was just passing on what I was told, in a heat where nothing stands out and the well backed fav disappointed beyond belief last time I'm happy taking a punt on the strength of connections confidence

Noted Ista and thanks for the heads up as always.:encouragement: Btw, was this from the same connection that gave you Agrapart?

Sadly no LR, I really wish this game was as simple as picking up the phone and being told the future !

The money keeps coming for IG. I'm hoping he hits 7/2 at some point so I can get rid of my bet!
