2016 Arkle Trophy Novices Chase

is that bad luck or folly for running horses on unsuitable ground ?

Kate Harrington said Rock The World going well on preview thread but didnt say which race.

Amyone know if here, Grand Annual, Novice Handicap or JLT?

He is on 140 isn't he ?

I think that's his Irish rating mayo, he doesn't yet have a British rating and there's every chance the British 'capper will will take a harsh view on Irish horses given their recent record....

He beat the 147 rated Dormello Mo the last time he ran ( at Cheltenham).

True, but I'd take that ones rating with a pinch of salt, he hacked up in a few weak Summer events round Newton Abbot and was, I believe, rated higher than he should have been.
Comfortably beaten on every visit to Chelt, Newbury, Aintree etc, not a top table performer for me, but that won't stop the 'capper hitting RTW with a few lb extra....

Cant see RTW making the 140 cut for the novices handicap. A low 140s should easily get him into Grand Annual probably around 11st.

The Game Changer

He'll go for the Arkle all being well and the better the ground the better chance he'd have. Douvan will be very hard to beat, but if the ground dries out he'd have an each-way chance. He's had a wind operation since the last day and we're really looking forward to it. He was bleeding, so we moved him outside and he lives there now. He seems to be a different horse since we moved him outside. The ground is the key to him, if it came up softish on the first day we wouldn't go with him and we'd wait for Fairyhouse or Aintree.

he is 6/1 without min - thats a great ew bet and worth doing now - less than 7 on the day ?

Not sure what Venetia plans for Zamdy Man but he's a horse who's had plenty of problems but on his day he can be very good.
He pops up occasionally and whilst he's disappointed in his 2 runs this season they he was off the track for a long time and I'm not convinced the deep ground helped him, at 100s if he was to stand his ground for this he could run into a place but like so many entered in this they could end up elsewhere or nowhere at all...

Sizing John

and not sure what else looking at betfair

Skybet are 4/1 Sizing John without Douvan. That looks like a bet to nothing.

Has anyone heard if Tell Us More is travelling to Cheltenham, and if so, is the arkle his target?

I'm sure there'll be people trying to use this as a reason not to back Douvan.

Flying Bolt was some legend of a horse. Won three different races at successive festivals - a feat not matched until Bobs Worth won the 2014 Gold Cup. Vautour fans can note than one.
