2015 Ryanair Chase

Haha, the Ryanair has not been kind to me this year yet. I miss Dynaste :grumpy:

I'm hopeful that TDS will still be in the Ryanair come the festival. Would seem strange to me to plot a Gold Cup campaign with the horse to then drop him all the way back to a handicap at arguably his optimum distance. He's been running well and just not getting home and I want as many competitors to Don Cossack as possible

One way of viewing the TDS story is that Johns Spirit is a good thing. Form on that course a concern.

The Shark

"No decision is made and a lot depends on the ground," Hanlon said. "I was talking to the boys at the track yesterday and it is quite possible the ground might be soft. They obviously think in England the ground could be soft and if it is we'll probably go Queen Mother; if it's good I'd say we'll go Ryanair.

"It's still up in the air. I am between minds because the Ryanair has cut up a good bit. The favourite [Don Cossack] has never won left-handed and the second-favourite [Cue Card] might have gone off the boil.

"The horse I'd be afraid of is Ma Filleule but on paper it looks a worse race than last year and we were second in it last year. We'll make up our mind during the week."

TDS going to Ryanair - jonjo on RUK

Guys which race is Champagne Fever running in? He meets the stats for this having run in King George same season.

Ma Filleule was the other 1. Least im starting to narrow it down now to 2 a race.

Have Ballynagour fans seen he may skip this now and wait for Aintree, prep not gone swimmingly according to D Pipe. Shame but the horse is unfortunately made of glass so no great surprise

Pricewise is really keen on this horse (and I respect his opinion a lot). I know he ran away with the Byrne Group Plate last year (any of the others in this field would have done the same) and finishing behind Rolling Aces and Boston Bobs at Aintree is streets away from the form required to take this isn't it?

I think Pipe may have had him ahead of the handicapper last year but their hand is forced for running in top class company, needs a leap of faith I reckon

Cue Card Out.

Johns Spirit wobbly on the machine.

Just topped up on The Don @ the last bit of 7/2 with Paddy thanks for that heads-up.

Not worried about Don Cossack form going left handed ?

No, I don't see any noticeable traits that would affect his running going LH. He was going fine last year until he came down. As your stats indicate he's run twice as many times right handed - only because the races for him have been on RH courses.
Also won a bumper left handed if I recall and a maiden hurdle.
Simply put, he's got everything together this season to become the horse he promised during his bumper campaign.
