Quite shocked she is running. Vautour seems more comfortable going from the front. Those tactics will be difficult to execute with her in the race.

Mullins will probably have three ? Different owners all looking for their day out.

I can't seem to work out whether she would have got the better of PZ. Though seems like all her form is on soft ground.

My mistake, it was Champagne West who fell and PZ previously beat him by 6L. I think GDB would have beaten CW by more than 6 if she wanted to.

I may have to eat my words here but I don't think PZ will do it either. Some real depth to this Irish challenge. Looking forward to VL running here hopefully. His excellent jumping will be a real asset.

The race everyone talks about with Vautour is the one on boxing day but considering he was under zero pressure at his fences he was guessy at a few and yes he was well on top of Real Steel when he fell but that hardly enhanced the form last Sunday.

Valseur - 2m 5f on the new course is perfect. Some pundits said he disappointed at Cheltenham last year but I don't buy that, Mullins said himself he ran him in the wrong race last year. I'll put my money where my mouth is accordingly.

Difference in opinion on GDB with the books. Ladbrokes 8s with no concession and Bet365 14s with NRNB.

Irish Saint clipped by all the books 10s with Ladbrokes :sorrow:but still 50s on Betfair which points to Aintree.

Henry DeBromheads smashing has really caught my eye this afternoon since studying his form more closely.

Has made a good if seemingly unspectacular start to life over fences. 3rd behind Don Poli on chase and seasonal debut he was a top keen early on and subsequently couldn't go with the leasing two at the end but finished miles clear of 4th place. He followed that up with a 12l second to Un De Sceux in which he actually put in a really mature performance showing obvious signs of progression.

His 3rd run was in a beginners chase and he annihilated a low key field from about 4 out, travelling and jumping superbly to score by over 30 lengths.

4th in last years Coral cup he has some decent cheltenham form on good ground and could well of flown under the radar due to coming in behind a couple of well regarded rivals in DP and UDS. I think he has plenty going for him at 25/1 NRNB

Thats correct Lessey. I think he was the value bet on SL.

Definitely worth a place in a couple of accas, even if going for the place element, but his run behind UDS looks pretty good now given what he did to Clarcam and Gilgamboa

Please when making suggections for the acca to make sure to put your reasons behind it. It really helps to judge, take Smashing for example.

That Smashing Coral Cup form reads well. Horses ahead of him were:

Whisper - Grade1 winner at Aintree
GMOOH - unluckiest Cheltenham horse ever. I see he is entered again ( that would be a good AP story).
Bayan - Ladbroke winner

Doubt if he will beat his old stablemates but one for forecasts/tricasts on the day and place possibilties.

Note the race against UDS was the follow up race after his fall, so Ruby was probably taking it easy on him. UDS could have beaten him by more and asked just a tad more towards the end against Clarcam.

I am still up for Smashing e/w though.

I agree LR Ruby and UDS didn't put him to the sword as there was no need to, he was well held from 2 out but he's shown a useful level of form in his early chasing career and if he can progress would have a great chance. The market principles don't exactly inspire faith currently at much shorter prices either…

Apache Stronghold - His win over Valseur Lido reads really well but have seen plenty suggest he wants soft in the going description

Agree, they all have questions marks, though I think AS looks the big danger. He seemed to outpace VL and his hurdle form on good ground was Superb.
