this week's entries

Fan of the horse last season but his last run weren’t good at all
Need to see him get back to his jumping form before that for me to back him again.
That was all wrong. Never travelled from the start. Not his form at all.

Going really well at home now and should be ready to run a big race Saturday.

Downside of waiting to see if he’s back is that the AP prices for KG, Ryanair and maybe GC will be cut……..you ‘pays yer money’…

However for those already on AP then it’s ’Ista’s fire for our slips if his BANC form was an indication of his 3m staying potential😱

Yep of course prices can change, but I’m fine with taking a bit shorter and raising my stake if needs be.
I don’t think the prices will change drastically anyway, although this day and age with the bookies…..who knows!!??

interesting beginners chase at down royal tomorrow with ballyfad and matin midi etc soir over 2m3.

thought ballyfad in particular looks like he would make a good chaser

Had a bit on Matin Midi Et Soir for the Champion Hurdle so Henry can sod off  and i can't get him on any of my bookies for the Arkle so i am surprised at his age he is going near mid-distance first up. He wouldn't interest me now. I would say Cheltenham was off the agenda unless he hoses up.

There are two in there for me though. Ballyfad for the BANC and also Kazansky who looks an absolute out and out stayer for the BANC (unless Gordon thinks he can get a few runs in, NH Chase?). He could end up an Irish National type but if we get a wet festival, could slot in here at a big price.

GE is raging about the ground , says its good and drying out
And rightly so. Their biggest meeting. They have had plenty of time to water and have soft in description. Rubbish.

….of interest for @Lobos;

Joe Tizzard’s Alexei heads a small but select field of six potential runners in the William Hill Molyneux Hurdle at Aintree on Saturday.

The Grade Two contest formerly known as the Elite Hurdle will be run on Merseyside for the first time this weekend, having been moved from its former home of Wincanton earlier this year.

Alexei enjoyed an excellent campaign last season, winning a valuable handicap at Ascot, the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham and the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton before finishing fourth in the Champion Hurdle in March and third in the Aintree Hurdle the following month.

Tizzard is looking forward to his competitive return, saying: “He definitely runs (on Saturday) and it looks a lovely starting place.

“He’s in real good form, he summered really well and I’m a bit biased but I think he looks like he’s improved. I couldn’t be happier with him.”

Alexei’s possible rivals include Dan Skelton’s Mydaddypaddy, who was last seen finishing a close-up third in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and the Gordon Elliott-trained Mange Tout, a Grade One winner in the Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle at Aintree in the spring.

Lucky Place (Nicky Henderson), Melon (Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero) and Morning Mayhem (Nick Scholfield) are the other contenders.

The seven-race card also features the Grade Two Boodles Rising Stars Novices’ Chase, which has attracted 12 entries.

Elliott could send Chanceawetmorning from Ireland following a Grade Three win at Punchestown last month, while the home team includes the Paul Nicholls-trained No Drama This End, the exciting Cristal d’Estruval from Harry Derham’s yard, Henderson’s unbeaten five-year-old Crystal Island and Skelton’s Talk To The Man, who made a winning start to his chasing career at Worcester recently.

Beat you to it Eggs....see CH thread.
