Thyme Hill and Sober Glory are cousins. Penhill and Sober Glory share the same sire. Sober Glory is closely related to Jacob's Ladder with the same sire (Mount Nelson) and Dam Sire (Milan). On that you would expect him to get further but in Jacob's Ladders first season chasing then he always struggled beyond 2m and showed good speed at the trip. Considering the speed Sober Glory has shown over hurdles then don't think he will be going much further than 2m for most of the season.

Interested in Morisk D’pudairies after watching this but he is not listed anywhere and I could not find him mentioned in racing post search engine. Anyone know more about him?

Hills have him priced for the supreme at 33-1.
Not sure his form is as good as he looked, but it did look nice.
Can't recall @darlojim mentioning him much, but not up to speed with his french horses to follow as some may be.

Thanks Q the ground looked pretty desperate that day as well. I wonder who he is with now or as he stayed in France?
 
Morisk d'oudairies has gone to Willie for Aisling Byrne & Ian Cunningham

He was obviously a class apart on his debut, but it was at Saumur which wouldn't produce too many stars. The filly he beat into 2nd Miskia who was for the same connections in FR has been exported to the UK for Richard Phillips after winning 2 staying races easily at again smaller FR tracks.

He's nice for sure, only takes looking at his debut to realise that, but see what he does in IRE on more likely nicer ground, it was a quagmire he won in, much like Larinka last season.

Yes a big price, and would not be at all surprised if he turned out to be a stayer at some point, maybe this season maybe not, but worth a punt all the same I reckon

Act of Innocence: A very very good horse,will go novice Chasing.

Old Park Star: Almost certainly chasing,wouldn't win a chamion hurdle

Lulamba: we tried to make him a 2 miler and he's not one. Start off over 2 1/2 mile and will probably get 3 miles at some point this season.

Jonbon: Schloer then Tingle Creek. Then up in trip in 2nd half of the season.

Could do worse than getting The Jukebox Man and Kitzbuhel in a few roll ups at the current prices.

Gaelic far more likely to stay in Ireland this season by all accounts, if Jango does run it will be after a setback and likely his seasonal return, Lulamba starting over shorter and not sure Kempton will suit to be honest. After that who actually turns up that would be good enough? All have enough to prove, maybe Banbridge given his form at Kempton but he will be 10 years old.

I’d personally rather take a shorter price after showing he can compete over 3 miles and we know he’s being aimed at the KG.

I know you shouldn’t judge a horse off one run but there’s just no way I could be backing him after that BANC performance.
 
Looking at the Cash Out values for my AP bets for 2027 it looks like bet365 are leaning towards Wodhooh going to the Stayers. I can't see it to be honest. Gordons only winner last year and this would suggest he is favouring Brighterdaysahead who simply can't be trusted at Cheltenham. Mind you. I have been wrong before. Time to include Wodhooh/Stayers in a few AP acca's.

Would make perfect sense to me to be honest.

He has mentioned that they could skip cheltenham altogether with brighterdaysahead but I cant see it. Wouldn't make sense to not bring her if shes fit and firing, she's already shown she can run her best at aintree after going to cheltenham so no real need to be keeping her fresh.

If you were to ask me right now id say elliotts best chance of winning two races at cheltenham with those two are bda in the mares and wodhooh stayers. Bda is probably classier than wodhooh and even better than her at the mid trip, and wodhooh shapes like one that could be even better over further. Couple that with teahupoo being beaten back to back in the stayers, they probably dont see him as being a favourites chance in that anymore.

One injury to lossiemouth though and I'd say bda would be champion hurdle bound again. Or even if the ground came up very testing, I think it would narrow the gap between bda and lossie, while also making the mares trip more testing which would suit wodhooh.
 
Gordon also has Old school Outlaw and perhaps Mange Tout that could be added to the equation.
Be interesting to see where they all start out.

I do not disagree with anything you say here but I still think his best chance of winning one race is Wodhooh in the Mares.
