Many thanks to @Runragged for a very reasoned July selection and we now move on to @EnvoiAlien for volunteering to manage the August effort.

A few mentioned in July that didn’t make the cut, maybe a consideration for August, be good to get a steer on his thoughts from @EnvoiAlien.

….i’m hoping @somer1 will captain the September discussion. I know he suggested OJA would be out and could contain some useful information? 🙏

I got the Dec one @Eggs so is someone would like to stand up for Sept?

….sorry, Matey, I missed that when I looked earlier.

Yep, appreciate a volunteer for September if anybody fancies it 🙏

@Eggs willing to do the both but lets put the "one jump ahead" yankee behind a sticky so its members only which will hopefully keep the sales of OJA up. But if any fat boy wanna grow a pair and stand up im more than happy to sit down.

…..sounds good.

OJA was late last year, maybe mid Oct ?
Not that that should change the yankee owner in any way but if @somer1 specifically wanted to use OJA as a guide he may want to do Octobers rather than Septembers....

….or leave as is and maybe have 2 in Sept, one around OJA discussion and one in open forum.

It’s a good point, Ista. Let’s see how delivery is looking nearer the time.

OJA still not able to order yet so guessing will be late again.

Many winter horses come in from the fields in the second half of July so will be ready around the end of October. Injuries often occur when fast work starts and this is often picked up in atr stable tours that tend to appear in the second half of October.

I'd have thought that, if OJA is going to be delayed again, it might be worth having 2 yankees in October rather than September.

….we can decide the timing of the ‘OJA informed Yankee’ when we know more about its release, happy that you can manage it whenever we decide (y)

In the meantime, hoping @EnvoiAlien is around to give us his thoughts for this month

…..still no sign of this months captain, hopefully all is well

Residue of suggestions from last month;
I thought @Quevega idea of throwing Kitzbuhel into one for the KG was innovative.
Jango (GC), Mydaddypaddy (CH), F2F/Jukebox (Ry) seemed popular.

I was going to suggest 2 for the gold cup ,
in Kitzbuhel and Final Demand .
The pair pulled well clear of the others in the
Brown Advisory .
I know , some are keen on Kitzbuhel for the Ryanair chs , and also Q suggested the k.g.
So there is an option of splitting them .
Anyway's , we'll see what Envoi has in mind for August's Yankee... 👍.

I did a piece last year but basically no winner of the King George has gone Ryanair in the same season. Therefore if you want to go a slightly related path then it could be worth adding King George with Ryanair. Maybe Kitzbuhel KG with Lulamba Ryanair considering same ownership as well?

Apologies Eggs, all is well here, other than this heat, I'm very much a fair weather person myself.
Obviously not a lot of steers for us currently, we do have a few sales that have happened that I could pick through, also there was the novice mare of Willies, Witches Familiar who looked decent winning as she liked in the Galways festival opener, Royal Bond mooted as her next target, will see how that plan works out.
Nice to see the Triumph hurdle priced up, abert only by unibet so I'd hope another book or two follow suit before the month is over otherwise its picking over the same small pool of races/horses, but we'll give it a go, so far the yankees have been very good, I'll try to keep that trend going.
I'll attempt to have a couple for us to ponder on friday.
Hope you all had a profitable Goodwood/Galway week :)

Witches Familiar has been well supported for the MNH - into 8/1 with PP.

Do many Cheltenham winners start their season at the Galway festival?
