April ‘26 Yankee courtesy of @Hurricane Fly

20/1 all gone on F2F for GC....now best 16's.

Do think Maj will be aimed at Ryanair next year. Couldn't back him though.

Kutzbuhel looks absolutely made for a Ryanair. Must back him soon.

Looking for one more preferably the Tuesday, doesn't need to be fancy odds as the horses discussed so far are more than enough for decent e/w returns. Just confidence in the target which does rule out some of the Supreme e.g MDP has had conflicting reports/comments.

OPS Arkle?

….we have OPS from last month but I like the point @Quevega made about not being afraid to perm the March selections and using them again in future bets.

White Noise (Mares Hurdle) at 50/1 is still the standout price for next season's Festival IMO.
May well be a little shorter after tomorrow!

Same age as Wodhooh and rated 16lbs inferior. Wodhooh proven over the trip

JDG 7 years old, rated 12lbs superior, proven over the trip

BDA 7 years old, rated 21lbs superior, proven over the trip

White Noise, unproven over the trip and where is she going to find the improvement from?

Despite a recent uptick, Mares Novice form isn't something historically you'd be running to back the following festival

Limini – 3rd Mares
Let’s Dance – F Stayers
Laurina – 4th Champion Hurdle
Eglantine du Seiul – 11th Martin Pipe
Concertista – 2nd Mares
Telmesomethinggirl – BD Mares
Love Envoi – 2nd Mares
You Wear It Well – 7th Mares
Golden Ace - 1st Champion Hurdle
Air of Entitlement – 1st Martin Pipe

Would be profitable on the day purely down to the SPs of the last two, but antepost on the Mares? Yeesh

I agree with Wayward Lad we're all bored and looking for new angles for 2027 but the facts and data all point to Wodhooh winning the Mares Hurdle again and Lossiemouth winning the Champion Hurdle again. Cheltenham simply is not BDA's playground. Now it gets interesting if Gordon aims Wodhooh at the Stayers (why would he ?) then the Mares becomes open house and for what it is worth I think there are numerous mares who become interesting - JDG, BDA, Golden Ace, White Noise and I really like Air of Entitlement. A summer of speculation looms. Happy days. And this is just the Mares.

BDA achieved a higher RPR at Cheltenham than Wodhooh and is likely to be better over the Mares trip. It's unknown whether or not she'd prefer the New Course to the Old Course. If they're all fit and if they decided to keep her over hurdles and if they decide that they can't beat Lossiemouth in the Champion, you'd think that they would send Wodhooh to the Stayers.

Far too many ifs to be having a bet at this stage.

…..putting my thinking cap on, I’m thinking @Hurricane fly has three selections in the bag. I reckon I can guess two.

He also said he’d ’preferably like his 4th choice to be a Tuesday runner, maybe Arkle’, suggesting to me that he wants one on each day .

Tuesday; Arkle selection to be discussed
Wednesday; Johnny’s Jury (BANC) 25-1 available
Thurs; Zeus Power (Stayers) 16-1 available
Fri; I’m guessing he has a Gold Cup selection.

I’d be sure he wants one with a very likely Arkle target, not necessarily a big price. If we stick to @Quevega sensible steer, we should use a group of selections as the basis for all the monthly bets, not being afraid to repeat them.

OPS seems a good choice for me.

Wodhooh to Stayers

JDG chasing

BDA prefers flat track

White Noise already won over 19f . Wasn't stopping at Festival. Only had 6 runs.

Could look a poor bet after tomorrow or a very interesting one.

White Noise...

“She’s in great order, this has been the plan since before the meeting moved from Cheltenham to Haydock,” said Mat Nicholls, who trains White Noise in partnership with Kim Bailey.

“Hopefully the course will suit her. The step up to two miles and five furlongs definitely will and we’re all really looking forward to it.

“She’s run over this kind of trip already when she was a point-to-pointer so it shouldn’t be an issue for her, arguably she should be slightly better.

“We’ve been very pleased with her, she’s in good order and we’re excited to run her again.”

….be interesting to see if PP offer a WTAF price for her given she’s 50-1 with them (Hills don’t have a Mares Hurdle market).

Could be another 100/1 winner for you Eggs! Tomorrow's race will give us a bit of a line to Zanoosh form through the Gordon Elliott runner.

Prior to the festival I was in the BDA doesn’t enjoy Cheltenham camp but after this year i’m not really sure you can say that with any certainty.

Maybe she has a slight preference for a flat track, but she’s beaten the champion hurdle 3rd, 4th and 5th similar distances over her preferred trip at Aintree. Probably would have been near identical if The New Lion hadn’t hit the last.

I just like to have something on the opening day to get excited about!

My initial thoughts were Zeus/Jonnys Jury/White Noise.

However if WN runs tomorrow - and there's some decent arguments against 1 I'm open to dropping her. I would think she has improvement still to come though, she will naturally boost her OR just from running in open company so I'm reticent to compare novice ratings vs open. The price is a big factor tbf.
