Triumph Hurdle 2019

Actually went out to 5s on bet365 when they were at the post, so had 0.5U on just in case.

Clearly has some engine being able to stay on like that at the end. Looked like BG got her to settle, takes some big breaths and went again.

Possibly some interest in the Fred Winter if she misbehaves again next time out

I took a chance in running at 10/1 just in case she was a freak and kept going.

They need to run her as often as possible, as she looks the best horse of that lot, and it looked a properly run race. The mistake at 3rd or 2nd last set her back and Barry looked like going easy, then she seemed to pick them up again. I was impressed.

How she stayed on again then I'll never know. Nut case with ability. Youd have to give her a chanve to see if she can settle as shes clearly ability but I'd have no interest in her now though for winning this.

Big form boost for adjali.

Did Adjali beat her? Or is it form lines?

Me too. I said to myself there's every chance she won't finish let alone win going off like that but to stay on for 3rd the way she did showed good ability. Agree, run her as often as possible

How the heck has Never Adapt finished 3rd there? Ridiculous ability just needs to settle

Gone back in on adjali ew at 25s 1/4. Now my biggest winner of the festival.

Just watched it again and after mistake at second last - Barry definitely took it easy, and (as he does quite often) nearly stood up in saddle approaching the last (from a fair bit away, as he does sometimes) then asked her to run on again after jumping the last.
She wouldn't have been far away from winning if it was a championship race and he got after her after the mistake.
Not blaming jockey today BTW, the ride was understandable.

365 have put Fructine in at 25/1. Anyone know anything about her?

Although I have not backed Never Adapt, I’m always prepared to forgive every juvenile and novice their first run, especially when you can see they have an engine. However, the reason I didn’t back her was due to the breeding that I always look at as part of my ante post due diligence. Her sire Anabaa Blue has only really sired one horse of note and that was Charli Parcs and he suffers with the same dodgy temperament. She may well learn to settle but it concerned me enough not to back her and it would still put me off now.

Have you got any information or view on a horse called Fructine Scooby / Jackie? Bought by JP.
This guy on twitter is very knowledgeable on French racing so well worth taking his views onboard.

No view. Wide margin flat winner in France. Wouldn't put any one off but wouldnt be the type of horse I'd be backing.

If I was going to be positive about Tiger Roll yesterday, which I was, I couldn't help but be positive about Never Adapt. Not many horses would win any race pulling that hard early on, I think Faugheen & Un De Sceaux are the only 2 I know off up to Grade 1 level that can set serious fractions and still win, in recent times. She's not either of them obviously, but to stay on into 3rd you'd have to like her attitude and could not write her off for this race based on that tbh!

She got a brief mention in Nicky's unibet Fillies & Mares stable tour but he said he didn’t know much about her and she would not be one of the more forward ones at this stage.

Being by Saint Des Saints he breeding is more a traditional National Hunt pedigree and most of his progeny go on to be chasers rather than being at their best as juveniles.

Found the stable tour

An exciting juvenile hurdling prospect with size, looks, substance and class, she won her only start on the flat and is gorgeous.

well the bubble has well and truly burst for NA. If Henderson managed to get NA winning a championship race at the festival I'll eat my hat.

She'd do well to win a Championship race in her juvenile campaign :devilish:

couldnt believe what i was watching going down to start and first half of race , to finish race the way she did tells me she way above average ability. She all about stamina to my eyes on ground that didnt favour her , I would be surprised to see her on flat fast tracks this season. Can see her having 2 or 3 runs before festival and strictly on whats been out so far ,a big player comes March.
