I'm not one for breeding, on breeding being by presenting yes but there are clear exceptions to what you see visually on a race course. There is no way that yorkhills ideal conditions are 3m2 up a hill at chelt.
Visually it's clear to see that he obviously wants a left handed track, which is fine, he needs some pace in his races or he comes alive in the jockeys hands, hes held under a tight restraint and when he's allowed a bit of reign and gets to the front he idles badly. He's a bit like mtoy when he was younger he's a tricky ride and ruby does wonders with him. But even ruby on board I can't see him winning a gold cup what so ever. He will be under tight restraint get lit up by others around him, tank to the front far too early and I'm certain others will get past him.
On breeding up for review would want some decent ground and Willie always mentioned that, but in actual fact to be at his best he wants it soft to heavy as his action glides through the mud. I personally take breeding as a guide but Deffinately not as a fact of they all need the same trip/ conditions. Each horse is an individual .
