Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle 2018

Scooby - have you done a full 360 and think he'll now be running in the AB?

I don't know why they'd feel the need to step up in trip after such a good performance yesterday.

That's a great bet CCM. I'm sure WPM will give you plenty of sleepless nights between now and March - ND will probably be entered for all 3 novice hurdles.

I have an ew trixie on Next Destination for this, Mengli Khan for the Supreme and Hollowgraphic for the Bumper, all at big prices. First antepost bet I placed and it wins me over £250k. Going to give me some sleepless nights to March :)

Thanks CCM, in a good position with Samcro for the Ballymore and wanted Next Destination covered so had a decent single on last night as thought Ballymore was the plan. In light of this news asked Ladbrokes to void the bet which they kindly did. Of course he still may go Ballymore but much less confident now and don't want to risk it. Happy enough with a double cover on Next Destination for Ballymore and Cracking Smart for this (227/1 ladrokes) Good luck with that multiple!

Cheers FM... long way to go, but suppose this is the joy of antepost... the dreaming!

I can see why they would be tempted myself. He's a 3m winning pointer, he's by Flemensfirth, he switches off beautifully, and he always seems strongest in his races at the very end. I also think 2.5m there yesterday was a real stamina test anyway, and comparable to 3m on spring ground.

But I think its more a case of which race can he win more easily? The Ballymore looks so hot this year...and they are bound to have a few for that anyway. I think Getabird is a great option for that race.

ND isnt quite a penalty kick for this race, but they've just stuffed the previous fav... so no need to complicate it imo!! Looking down the antepost list, there is very little he would be worried about at this stage.

Cheers. Fair play to Laddies. Cant argue with that.

Iv got him for both 14s ballymore 33s I think AB.

It's not for everyone but how I do my work is I pick the horses myself but I use pp solely on targets. Wherever they go shortest price that's where I will answer I think they'll go.

Has been extremely fruitful financially or me. And I just do what has worked out best for myself.

Absolutely, if you've got a method that works then you should stick with it.

What reason did you give for them to void the bet? I could do worth a few Finian's Oscar bets voiding in light of a bad rub too hahaha:highly_amused:

I definitely would throw my weight behind the PP for targets ... this race will look most winnable for him? I can't imagine Willie is mad keen to race Samcro if he can take on cracking smart again.

Said I accidentally placed it on the wrong market and as they had not changed their price could it be voided. Was surprised they were so accommodating as normally have issues with their customer service. Actually took them to the arbitrators 6 months ago for the way they settled a politics bet. Heard nothing for 4 months until I received an email from the arbitrators saying they ruled in my favour, meaning Laddies had to payout an additional couple of hundred :)

Nice to hear a positive outcome! Few and far between

more importantly.... where is the returned money going.... ;)

Forgot to comment on this.... amazing.

Cracking bet no matter what happens now, but I think the targets are now all a good thing... let's hope we get there on the day, no doubt everybody here will be routing for those 3 with you!:encouragement:

Agreed they are 3 of my biggest winners so I'll deffinately be cheering them on and hope all 3 make it there.

Definitely 3 forum horses so fingers crossed for us all :very_drunk:

Haha...nowhere at present, I'm concerned after already breaking my own PB for points invested I might be catching you up!

Sunday's run defo hasn't put me off CS for this, looks just the type to excel over 3 miles at Cheltenham.

Next Destination looks a really nice prospect though and should they go the Neptune route it is for sure going to be the race of the week!

Should Next Destination come here, would be of obvious interest however at current prices wouldn't like to play the Mullins roulette at this point. CS by far the more sensible bet.

I have a friend who follows my selections pretty much blindly, especially on a Saturday if we watch it together, but sometimes he ends up putting more (and wins more!) on my own selections ...... I'll kinda feel like that when I take home my pathetic 5 figure returns from the same 3 :highly_amused::highly_amused:

Joking of course :)

Sensible reasoning. Agree with that.

Personally already reacted to the CS 'overreaction' although would feel ND does have him held? PRice is important though, when CS is/was 3 times the price

Getabird entered in the 3m Guinness Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) at Limerick on the 29th of December. A race Willies won in the past with the likes of Faugheen and last year with Penhill. If he handles 3m in heavy going well you'd have to think they would be more inclined to go down the (less competitive on paper) Albert Bartlett route and stick to 2m 5f with Next Destination.

Mullins and Elliot have 12 of the 17 entered at this stage, you would have to take whichever one of their's run here seriously in the Albert Bartlett market.

Fabulous Saga favourite over Ainsi Va La Vie. It would be a good performance to give the mare 10lb.
