Many thanks to @Quevega for ‘volunteering’ to take on the first Yankee for next season.

I was going to leave it until next week for obvious reasons but I suspect some of you are seeing selections that are worth considering, particularly thinking of what current crop of novices might be worth getting onboard and we also have today’s CB.

OPS looks Arkle bound but there could be others to take out of the Supreme, I personally liked the performance of Mydaddypaddy. The first three home in that Arkle also worthy of consideration, Henderson hinting Lulamba will be Ryanair bound.

So if anything has taken your eye or does so this week, make a note of it on here.

Also, I’d be grateful for an April volunteer, it’s a decent month with Festivals on both sides of Irish Sea.

….nothing to stop Q popping in a GN selection if he feels strongly about one.

Be nice sitting on 3 Festival selections for 11 months with a GN winner.

….Zeus Power stayed on up the hill to finish 3rd in Turners. Might be more NHC than BANC but in the notebook.

Kitzbuhel was one of the selections last March.

I don't even want to check the prices, but Mydaddypaddy potentially if a big price compared to Old Park Star for The Arkle?

….6-1jf with Hills. Lads go 4-1 OPS, 8-1 Mydaddy.

Dan Skelton on MYDADDYPADDY:

“We’ll come back for next year’s Arkle.

“I know the winner will be favourite for the Arkle, but we’ll have a lot to say about that.

“Ours will have an extra year of improvement; I think he’ll make an outstanding chaser.”

….El Cairos 66-1 CH highlighted elsewhere.

…..understandably some posters take a little break to re-charge their batteries after a busy week but if you have any thoughts on next years Festival, @Quevega has a Yankee to put up this month so pop any suggestions in here.

Saying that, Q was on fire in the tipping comp and might just have four in mind, nothing to stop him including one for the National if he wants.

Remember Kitzbuhel was one of the picks last March.

Air Of Entitlement to take the same route as Wodhooh, Martin Pipe to Mares Hurdle.

Two from two at the festival. Not sure Henry has much else for that race.

16/1 with Flutter.

One danger, that they might go chasing, but I'm hoping not.

…..not sure the CB winner would be 14-1 Sup/33-1 Turn if trained by W Mullins.

Meade has previously trained the winner of both races.

Think I suggested the 66/1 El Cairos, so don't judge on me on these boring ones but...

Kopek Champion Chase. Surely the target, would've probably won the Arkle if he jumped the last but hardly had the ideal prep anyway. Not much strength in that division although the CC winner was very impressive to be fair.

Lossie Champion Hurdle. It's a really weak division that's not looking like getting too much stronger. Main players from the Supreme look to be going chasing. And those that missed the Champion Hurdle due to injury are hard to fancy on the comeback now.

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup. He's won it ridiculously easily. And is young enough to comeback for another one or two.

Kitzbuhel Ryanair might seem slightly out there at 25s. But if combining with Gaelic Gold Cup (or Fact to File I guess if you're that way inclined) then I think it's probably got a hint of value to it.

I’d have thought Mourne Rambler would be a potential Turners horse.

Full brother to Sixshooter who was best over the mid distance. He came from the rear, relaxed well and the performance was more of a typical Turners ‘wait and pounce’ than a Supreme type horse. Horses by Well Chosen do tend to be better over the mid distance- OPS won the Supreme but at the start of the season they thought he’d be the mid distance horse out of the Hall horses.

Other one that looks a Turners horse is The Wager but I doubt he’ll shorten up and may not be seen as a first choice anyway.

Is there any Turners betting out there?

Bumper wasn't worth following, festival wise last year. I'm not sure this year is any different.

Yes it would be interesting to revisit the last few years CB and see what if any impact it had on festival races.

I'd much prefer now in March to be on Kargese at 10s for the Champion Chase rather than Il Etait Temps at 4s or Kopek Des Bordes around 5s. Twice now a festival winner. She's shown she's got the accuracy at fast pace as well, which Kopek doesn't.

The value option for me.

6/1 the supreme winner and 8/1 the second isn’t terrible pricing vs previous years. Whether you take it is a different matter of course.

I made the case the bumper form was poor, I don't think it's unusual though. You occasionally get maybe two from it
