I'm not looking it up! I've thought of one fancied one and the stat is 100% wrong so far. Offer up a couple of fancied ones for Cheltenham that the stat applies to and give it a bit of credit?

His best ones (as with the majority of his) stay in Ireland pre Cheltenham where they can is pretty obvious. The part where it's a negative for them to not do that needs a bit of work...

I’ve taken the opinion that some of willies will improve for run. Have done Kargese for arkle and Jade de grugy for mares
I hope you’re right. I backed both before debuts, and disappointed. Can’t bring myself to go in again at the bigger prices….I need convincing 😂😂

Mullins was 1 from 12 just before the clarence house when energumene was also beaten.
Not sure he had many runners after that with the Dublin festival and all.

The one winner was 1-3 odds on at sedgefield Mr Escobar.
5 of his beaten horses went off at shorter than 2-1.

Big up for BigL.

Having said that, with Townend riding at Kempton I'd expect whoever he decides to run will have a decent shout and last years pre cheltenham form will not really count for much.

That's not proving it's going to be a negative at Cheltenham is it? Which is what he implied.

Not getting very far with this are we haha

I like big Jim too, but kitz could be a weapon too. Mullins is mob handed with these stayers. Not sure if worth covering kitz given I’ve already got Jim and FD in the book.
He’s big enough price to cover if you have those two I would have thought
Might be a lot shorter after his next run

 No we're not.
Not sure that was the implication though, I read it as he was referring to Mullins runners at Kempton over xmas coming up - and last seasons pre cheltenham form of mullins uk raiders.

Aye, sometimes I take it being a Cheltenham forum too literally...

Thought he was saying any that ran in England before Cheltenham didn't go on to win at the festival.

I think you're right though.

Townend hasn't ridden jimmy du seuil since last April. Might not be that important to them, but he has plenty of experience on final demand and kitzbuhel of late, maybe he'd prefer jimmy du seuil to go over to kempton so he can get a go on him, and maybe help work out his pecking order?

Also not sure how they rank them themselves, but jimmy du seuil a lot shorter than kitzbuhel for the banc, so if that's also how they see the pecking order themselves then they might be more inclined to separate final demand and jimmy than final demand and kitzbuhel.

Bookies have it wrong 😉

Kitzbuhel being underestimated imo

I don't think this has anything to do with it tbh. More simply they could do with sending a good one to Kempton to give PT an extra ride anyway, and the 3m G1 gives them a perfect opportunity. He's 99% likely to ride Final Demand if he makes it to the festival anyway, but Jimmy will be up to winning this imo

Interesting to see who comes over. Both have a bit to prove at grade 1 level and would benefit from the race. Both horses have the form at shorter and for jumping right handed with no preference. Kitzbuhel has more to find on ratings so does he come over? But then JDS is probably more ready to compete at G1 level.

Think Xmas has the ability to change things from where they seem to stand right now
Going to be very interesting

It might not matter at Kempton but I wouldn't be certain that Jimmy du Seuil is bred to stay 3 miles at Cheltenham.
