Champion Bumper ‘25

No jockey on Kalypso when I posted. Would be odd to jock Patrick up and then pull him as you say. CC needs to improve a bunch to get to the level Kalypso reached so be interesting to see them both against each other.

I’m hoping something will take Classical Creek into the race this time and he won’t have to do the donkey work again. Hopefully that will bring out the necessary improvement.
 
How did Future Prospect not go off favourite. The Elliott horse showed it was no good last time. Good performance there.
 
11/8 now. Definitely priced it up wrong.
 
Yes I thought that the 9-2 was available for 15 mins, let's hope they dont void the bet like Skybet would have.
 
CC back out to 3s this morning, did Swan really have the choice here? Something a little odd here, Patrick was down at Gordons last week doing that piece fir RP and now he's jocked up on on an odds on elliott shot to beat a 3-1 ,,presumably elliotts No1 , Classical creek with swan on board.. There might be an angle here somewhere going forward. And Elliotts yard is a betting yard so to me imo it looks odd.
 
Chicken feed but he's getting matched 5/1 and above on exchange. So that 3s may drift...
 
So according to the markets, gordon is letting Patrick have a direct comparison between gordons and willies best bumpers...this would imo suggest none of those today will be seen at the festival. Just an opinion and guesswork..

Can understand why as Patrick booking is very unusual. Punters thinking it's significant.

Does it matter if Patrick knows how good one of Gordon's is. If he's available, and willing to ride the horse, let Patrick ride it and give you the feedback on the horse. He's rode more good bumper horses than anyone. If Kalypso ends up being a superstar, Patrick isn't going to tell Willie not to bother this year.

Yes i think it does and doesn't matter, i didnt suggest he'd tell willie not to bother, just imo it would be advantageous for willie and Patrick to have first hand knowledge of gordons best bumper if and when it came to the festival. But it wouldn't matter so much if the said horse wasn't intended. Just an opinion and you may be more right than me.

Of all the theories around Elliot's bumper horse ? and why Patrick's riding one today.
My favourite is that Elliot has fuck all this year. And he knows it.
 
I wouldn’t say just because one has been pulled (outsider of the 3), that it doesn’t mean these are his best bumper chances.

Race won by American Mike, Sir Gerhard, Envoi Allen and Samcro. Only Samcro didn’t run in the bumper the rest were stables number 1 :encouragement:
