….maybe look at the JP Specials.

What price is he to have zero winners ? Might have a pound on that.

….HdB re Slade Steel;

‘We won’t make a decision on whether he runs in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle or the Gallaghers (Baring Bingham) Novices’ Hurdle just yet. We are keeping an eye on the ground and on what the likes of Ballyburn are doing. If I had to give an inclination at this stage, it would be for the Baring Bingham, but that could change if the circumstances change.’

The Slade Steel / Ballyburn one was well highlighted in here a while ago but this quote justifies why it's related and was clever :distant:

His inclination is the BB at this stage...........maybe he's been chatting with Willie? Supreme for Ballyburn then.....:biggrin-new:

I was quite taken by Iroko yesterday. Also a fan of Fact To File and on the basis he is chasing this season and they're in the same ownership, I have therefore done Turners/ Brown Advisory doubles with these two horses. There's still a bit of lumpiness in the prices available for each in each race meaning that best odds for the Iroko - Turners/ Fact To File - Brown Advisory are 224/1 at Denise's and for Fact To File - Turners/ Iroko - Brown Advisory are 254/1 at Joe's.

Of course you could bring Inthepocket into the mix and end up with more combinations either also using that horse in the Turners or additionally also bringing the Arkle in and doing some trebles. But that creates a much more significant outlay, and I don't personally see Inthepocket as the likely Arkle or Turners winner and wanted mainly to increase returns for success of two horses I am more taken by as well as covering the eventuality they end up in the opposite races to my own preference (Fact To File - Turners/ Iroko - Brown Advisory).

Hope you did this and it's still live for now ?

Gaelic Warrior & Facile Vega related double both ways looks a possibility now.
Both stand out novice chasers for Mullins on hurdle form and on debut over fences.
The rest have a lot to find from what we've seen.

Could easily both end up in same race, but Townend would probably not like it, and possibly not Willie either.

The bigger prices are for if Gaelic goes arkle obviously, but you could see this happen, if he beats either of the other top 2 in the market, or even if Marine beats Facile prior to March, so it could happen.

Ladbrokes look best prices, but no cash out.

This getting closer to fruition, not in the manner I thought it might but still unlikely they both run in same race.
we'll see.
The Gaelic arkle vs Facile Turners was 151-1

It's actually still a good cross double as both are likely to go off Fav
And the price for Facile arkle v Gaelic Turners is actually better than the 18-1 I took at the time :highly_amused:

Aye, like that. Have it myself (very recently) at about a tenth of that price I think :biggrin-new:

Been looking through looking for any live ones - has anyone got any they're hopeful of ?

Gaelic Warrior - Arkle
Facile Vega - Turners

35/1 antepost double b365

:cheerful:

Gaelic Warrior (Arkle 9/2 NRNB Denise)
Brazil (Coral Cup 16/1 NRNB)

92.5/1

(94/1 available elsewhere)

That shoulder that makes us all hate Brazil / Gaelic Warrior a little bit..... maybe they can pay us back?

84/1 for the same but Turners

I'll do that, been punting a handicap for Brazil for a while, and had tried to ignore him this year, but this is a nice redemption bet.

Yes I did. Only small stakes but would return about half my net liability for the festival if it came in, so it's one crumb of comfort amongst a pretty shoddy Turners book I have constructed!

My Mate Mozzie 9/1 Arkle
Itchy Feet 50/1 Pertemps

509/1 Hills. I'd chuck a few quid each way,on that. Itchy Feet run in it last year wasn't too bad, never had a great run through and pushed widest last mile, and only beat about 5 or 6 lengths and Sean Bowen back on is a bonus.

Sorry if it's obvious but what's related about it?

Excellent. Really excellent.
