Odd that Minella Crooner is entered given he’s running today.
 
Probably, just as a back-up for NHC qualification.
(If he doesn't complete/finish top 4 today)

I’d say that’s more as a precaution if something was to happen like a fall/unseat etc and gives them another option to qualify. That’s how it looks to me

Jumped well throughout, scrubbed a bit on the home turn before a hands and heels second with the jockey losing irons after the last.

He might be 143/144/145 for a Kim Muir run though?

He jumped alright, not impressive but ok on the whole. Just a case of seeing how fit Gordon can get him. I'd imagine they left plenty to work on and if they can get him there in the sort of form he showed behind Minella Cocooner he'd be a solid each way bet.
 
No way crooner goes here, if he goes to the festival I think it'll be the kim muir, not good enough for this if he cant beat velvet elvis

Was he trying today though? Get round finish in the top four preferably not winning was surely the instructions. Qualifies him for the nh chase and keeps options open for handicaps, job done imo.

Looked like he was getting a good wallop off the jock in the straight with no real impression made.

Just realised my mistake

I am maximus won the dodge pot gold cup by finishing 2nd and therefore proving himself the best dodge pot
 
Mister Coffey is entered over 3m at Uttoxeter with Derek jocked up - with a view to coming here in March per Nicky's snippets on Sporting Life.

I know some liked him for one of the handicaps.
