What’s Gordon got for this? I’m hoping my Favori De Champdou Albert Bartlett ticket is still the most likely option for him

…..I reckon Spanish Harlem going the GDC route.

After today's run..... Irish Point?

He'd likely be over 145 surely?

143 today.... ran terrible? If he went down .....

Then with tax .....

145?

I'd be absolutely smashing him up for this :glee:

Would like to see Dawn Rising go here, has JOB given any hint of plans?

Ridden cold today wasn't he, still chances of our lot given a novice with two 2nds in G1s a 145< will be slim to none. Be 146 and two fingers up for trying :biggrin-new:

Don't think the British handicapper will be that generous myself :highly_amused: Would certainly be of interest if he did get in. At a guess, 147.

Plus Gordon has this race by the balls in Landrake so why bother? (Yes I'm going to break the record for number of times mentioned)

Then all in for the Coral Cup / County Hurdle :indecisiveness:

The more I think about it, the more I'll get giddy about him in a handicap.

Talk me through the Landrake case then....

All in, you think he's at least low 150s then I take it?

I don't think this years novices have been particularly strong so even thou he has form amongst the leading protagonists I'm not sure id be too interested in him myself for all I can see why people would with the graded form.

Cool Survivor? Good 4th in the Nathaniel Lacy. Connections have targeted this many times, owner & trainer. Had a rating of 136 before yesterday.

I'd definitely fancy him yeah.... just the blanket novices record enough to give a different angle and without hindsight we can never know....

Solid novice graded form dropping into handicaps I prefer than unexposed tree-beating ... and just having that versus 'exposed' horses I like as an angle, so I know I'd get giddy.

Won't always work out but the horses he got close to, may be way better than we realise... so that's the angle for me.

You mean you don't read my diary? I'm hurt :sorrow: From 20th Jan...

Couldn't resist my first bet in a handicap...

I've landed on Landrake (15.3/1) NRNB for the Martin Pipe before he runs tomorrow. Same race that Banbridge won last year, which will be his third run. He's also entered in the Column Of Fire/Dallas Des Pictons race which Gordon used as a Martin Pipe prep. Running back over 2 miles tomorrow where he clearly wants further.

Currently rated 135 in Ireland. Beaten in a bumper by Good Land who I thought won really well last time out and is second favourite for the Nathaniel Lacy, actually think he's excellent value for the Ballymore. Also third behind Facile Vega and narrowly beaten by Madmansgame in his other bumper runs. Next time out he beat Corbetts Cross (143) by a length (getting 3 pounds) who is now second favourite for the Albert Bartlett. Then in his last race he beat Dovlator by 6 lengths giving him 7 pounds, who himself was beaten by Salvador Ziggy (getting 11 pounds) who is now rated 145 and a single figure price for the Pertemps.

Basically everything I look about him makes me like him even more. Entered in the right races, right connections, looks to have at least half a stone in hand, running over a trip too short as a prep. Also got entered in the UK at the start of January so Gordon clearly has a handicap in mind for him.

Got a couple of others I've been hovering over but hopefully got some time before I have to do anything with them.

Edit: Just found he was also entered in a race planning race in November 2021 for the Martin Pipe... Got to be a long term plan this!

Fell in the Banbridge race when clearly going the best (IMO). Entered on Tuesday which is the race that Gordon used for The Bosses Oscar on the way to the Martin Pipe. Since then obviously Good Land has franked the form massively (although in bumpers, pinch of salt but still good)

Yeah, could be. Bookies too sharp with any potentials now aren't that, just checked his price.

Come on Kevloaf I'm eagerly waiting for you to tear my argument to shreds :highly_amused:
