this week's entries

Can we please keep these in the member section!! Or at least link them later on and not on the main forum for everyone to see

Pointless. Anyone who is remotely interested will be going to the site direct.

We are ridiculously precious about the members area. This is a forum not a secret society.

Langer Dan entered over 2m4 hurdle at Aintree on Saturday.

Hermes Allen entered at Exeter on Friday.

Mcfabulous and Thyme Hill entered at Exeter on Friday. Mcfabulous also with an entry on Saturday.

Betfair Chase early entries closes at 12pm today. Assume A Plus Tard makes the trip over but interesting to see if WPM throws a dart at the race. He doesn't usually but with so much firepower now, could he?

Old Victoria the chosen Triumph horse? Interesting to see Irish Point entered in the 2m novice hurdle, as well as Foxfire Glow.

New Year Honours 20-1 with Hills any race, haven't seen any Triumph prices yet.

….GE certainly appears to use that race to field his Triumph horse (Fil Dor, Quilixios etc).

Old Victoria available @ 40-1 with cash-out, not seeing NY Honours quoted (20-1 a/r with Hills).

Or New Year Honours.

Are they both Robcour?

I don't think New Year Honours would be good enough based on the flat form?

Foxfire Glow is JP I think. They think a lot of him apparently. The 2nd to Kyrov is good form.

related double opportunity? The declaration of choice in the triumph race and runner in the bumper?

4lb off what Zanahiyr was rated on the flat, before joining Gordon and going hurdling. They have a similar profile, and also by the same sire. I would imagine he could be a Boodles horse, but at the same time could end up a different proposition over hurdles. Unfortunately we won't know until he is seen.

Yeah, I like the Foxfire Glow form, didn't realise he was JP though.

Fair point. If he's declared then he must be working well and jumping well at home.

Sundays card interesting at Cork. Absolute Notions and Irish Point in a 2 mile maiden hurdle, Lot of Joy for Mullins over 2m4 and Cool Survivor in the 3 miler.

Main one is Three Stripe Life in the G3 Novice Chase over 2.4 on first start if declared

….ha, ha, before I read your post I just had a little on Better Days Ahead (16-1) with Old Victoria (40-1).

Icare Desbois for Willie in the 2 miler as well.

La Malmason in the 2m 4f maiden at Cork for Cromwell. RP quote: "She's out of Walk In The Park and is an unraced half-sister to Stage Star. She's a filly I like a lot and will enjoy the winter ground. She's showing me plenty at home and we'll go straight over hurdles."

Away from Ireland...

I'm quite interested to see how Knight Salute gets on against Sceau Royal at Wincanton on Saturday. With a view to last season's juveniles in general. I know SR isn't quite champion hurdle class but he's a consistent Grade 1 performer in England and a very good benchmark, particularly in this race. Knight Salute going well against him would be the first real pointer to this bunch of 5yos being any good and their chances in the CH, Vauban of course in particular.
