2022 Supreme Novices Hurdle

I hope you’re wrong as I only have him for the Ballymore. He’s a tough one to pin down though for many reasons but I think he’s going to be really good. To do what he did in the Festival bumper given the prelims, racing keenly and having only one race under his belt was massive.

My thoughts on his ability are exactly the same Jackie. Abacadabras filled the same slot in the Cheltenham Bumper and went to the Supreme the following season. I've watched both bumpers back several times now and I have Three Stripe Life marginally the better horse. He did that after being headstrong on the way down to post, and then playing up again when whipping round before the race, so his performance can be marked up. I can't say categorically he'll go to The Supreme of course, but I think he will, and at the very least I think he's worth covering for the race with cash out before his first race.

3SL 14/1 to win any race which covers every angle, all 3 novice races and handicaps. Best TWAR value horse in my opinion. Saves all the pain.

I can't see him going to the Bartlett. He's got too much pace for them to consider that, so I'm happy to narrow it down to two.

Then I'd rather back both at much bigger odds and have the benefit of cash out Lobos.

.....and what about handicaps? 14/1 takes the grief out of missing cash out options which has happened to several on here ,plus it covers EVERY race. It has to be the bet in my eyes.

But then that would be the case for 90% of novice hurdlers. At the end of the day, if you want the bigger price then you have to back your own judgement which most are prepared to do. If I think a horse is going to end up in a handicap then I’d rather wait for that market than take a TWAR as I can get more places and possibly a bigger price.

To all the Three Stripe Life fans, the RAB with Flooring Porter (SH) & Three Stripe Life (AR) is still available at 125/1 on sky.

Not a bad bet if you’re a flooring Porter fan too.

Fabulous bet imo

That’s in line with what was said on the stable tour a month ago - I wouldn’t take it as a sign of where he’ll end up

‘He’s a lovely horse that has been jumping hurdles really well at home. We’ll look to start him off in a maiden hurdle in three or four weeks. I’d say we’ll start him at two miles, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up over a bit further. Given the level of ability he showed in bumpers, you’d be hoping he can be a smart hurdler.’

His sire was a real stayer on the flat so I’d be surprised if he wasn’t up in trip sooner rather than later. Like a lot of horses though, he’ll be able to win a weak maiden at the minimum distance.

Broomfield Burg, Brave Kingdom, Doddiethegreat, Good Risk At All all entered at Newbury in a 2m novice next Thursday

I was expecting Hendo to have entered IAM or Jonbon in that race.

Interested to see what BB does . He could be a dark one for the Supreme me thinks.

Agree. Well whichever race Jonbon doesn't end up at Cheltenham. They will surely be separated between the Supreme and Ballymore

Don't think so. Owner adores the Supreme and is not against throwing a couple in.

Me too, Hendo did mention that Jonbon would start at Newbury soon from his stable tour. I don't know when the next meeting is at Newbury now
