I'd be pretty confident Sir Gerhard would suit a strongly run supreme imo

Yes who knows at this point in the season really. I initially backed sir G for the supreme but have been giving more and more thought to the Ballymore I must admit. Realistically I think either may be fine and it could depend on what Mullins has in his arsenal for the other races as much as anything else.

Yeah this year it seems like he has an absolute army to somehow place.

Yeah could that be better for us I wonder? With so many to place will they just run in the races that seem obvious given he’s probably going to have multiple in all anyway? Of course I’m sure some will turn out to be more up to the quality of blue Lord that appreciate it for example they can’t all be aeroplanes so he will probably have his stand out best ones.

Thanks for posting Madmoose. I've just re-watched too, and it's not over-exaggerated so you wouldn't expect him to be too ground dependant I don't think. It's certainly not one of those round actions that you'd associate with a mudlover. My take is good to soft wouldn't cause any inconvenience at all. He looked to outstay My Drogo slightly though and a step up beyond the minimum wouldn't be a problem.

Not a silky mover from what I remember, looked a strong stayer in the conditions. I thought My Drogo stood out as a physical specimen.

Jumping Jet entered on Sunday at Galway in a 2m Maiden. Runs for G Elliott, owned by Robcour.

Won a bumper by 29 lengths

"She was impressive when winning her bumper for Barry Fitzgerald, but she doesn’t show much in her work at home. We’ll get her started in three or four weeks once the ground softens and we’ll learn more about her as we go."

From the tour.

Doesn't sound like they know what they have, I'd sit on it for now.

Agree, I touched on this when the form lines started stacking that he looked gangly as hell. Be fascinating to see if it was pure greenness when we see him next or the equine equivalent of bow leg.

Jonbon to start off shortly in a 2m novice at Newbury according to Henderson.

The first Newbury meeting is on Thursday the 4th November where there was a 2 mile novice last year which was won by Dusart

I'm no expert on anything never mind horse leg gangliness, but this is a very short vid posted on Feb 2nd of I Am Maximus working with Buzz, so 3 and a bit months on from when we saw him on course. If anyone has any thoughts (aside from telling me to piss off because you only get a good look at him for about 3 seconds at best...)?!

Don't worry 'how' it's 'how quick' that matters. Don't worry, it's in the bag AV! :onthego:

My only reservation over i am max is his actual form, im not convinced by it purely based on the 50-1 price my drogo went off on, i assume not a lot was expected of that horse that day, wether that was because DS just didnt know what they had or maybe my drogo was far from ready..it just puts a question mark on it for me slightly.

That is likely true but at the same time I am maximus was also a year younger than my drogo and beat him off levels

A very promosing run

Never a bad sign for a hendo novice hurdle horse to go Newbury on debut

Looks to be continued support for Jonbon tonight. You have to think he's potentially number 1 for Hendo in this now.

He's being talked about for an entry over a particular distance (not even an actual confirmed entry...) and people are champing at the bit, that's about all there is to read into it i'd say. In this quarter of the year you can look at the re-appearances of Altior, Angels Breath, Chantry House, Shishkin and others, there's no correlation. Nobody knows his no.1 for this and judging by his stable tour which is just a mass of pointlessness, least of all Nicky. I still think, if they're able to, both Jonbon and IAM end up here for what it's worth...

Look at Ahoy Senor, we all know about him because he's been put up and discussed weeks ago, but one entry at Carlisle and it's 40's into 25's, some going 16's. Silly season.

Hendo does speak in glowing terms re Jonbon and we have to respect his Supreme stats. He certainly knows how to prepare one for it .
Ahoy Senior was tipped up by Pricewise which accounts for the support. Ahoy Senor has very good hurdle form but why people keep following that clown PW blindly year after year I just don't know.
