2016 Ryanair

Change of scenery seems to have worked the oracle with AF though, the Skelton boys look to be in the ascendency

Just noticed Boyles are NRNB on this too.

Traffic Fluide is 20s with them.

Make sure you go NRNB as Moore in his blog today said the following of Traffic Fluide "As for Traffic Fluide, he’ll be aimed at the Betway Champion Chase now too. We’ve got the option of going to Cheltenham via the Game Spirit, but we’ll see how he is."

Mayo- Felix Yonger likely to stay in Ireland so that rules that out , Turban, Twinlight, Boston and Ballycasey not good enough IMO, VVR more than likely stay over hurdles, Champ Fev for QM if turns up, so that leaves the gigginstown runners to choose from I guess, if RTR does'nt run Valseur Lido likely to be Bryan Cooper's ride which leaves Mozoltov or SDC....Unless the mighty Vautour runs

So Ruby has no decent ride in Ryanair other than Vautour.

Unusual for Mullins who enters his horses in everything that Djakaadm wasnt even given an entry here. He sluiced up in the John Durkan.

Will Ruby be too bothered if he hasnt a decent ride in this,he was on Ballycasey last year, dont think that would have set his world alight..same horse this year maybe.

Id say Ruby wants to win every race but as Willie/Ricci have never won a Gold Cup that might get a higher weighting when they sit down to agree targets. Valaseur Lido would be a decent ride if RTR ran here. Cant help thinking the top 3 in the market wont run.

Mullins confirmed last week that Valseur Lido was being aimed at Gold Cup....................I didn't believe him either

Dont rule out the mare yet

The jockey told Racing UK: "She's a straight-forward ride and has a great temperament. Jennies Jewel ran a blinder in second but she's a 135-138 mare and if you add on what you think Vroum Vroum Mag had left that makes her sort of 150 or there or thereabouts.

"In terms of where you go next, the Mares' Hurdle or the World Hurdle, would a rating of around 150 be good enough to win either of those races?"

Champagne West will get caught out with his jumping in this race pace. I can see him running in the Plate instead.

I have back smad place at 8/1 for this in a couple of multiples, even after today I can't see him seriously threatening the tops 3 places on gold cup today, hope he stays in this race

i had him backed for this also but I see King has announced today that he is for the Gold cup :(

When I look at this I can only see Al Ferof and Ma F running of the top horses in the betting. Have backed both ew NRNB.

Two horses under the radar that we haven't really discussed Gilgamboa and Smashing. Any clues where they will line up?

After race at Thurles Thu, 28th Jan, 2016 (1st) Its a shame Johnny (Burke) missed the ride and hopefully he'll be ok but Davy was a great sub and gave him a great ride. I was delighted with the way he did it apart from the last two but it was a competitive race. We've waited for the race since Christmas and I'm delighted we did wait as it was cancelled twice. We'll look at the options but the Ryanair Chase looks a bit steep. I ran him in the wrong race last year in the Arkle as he was lost on the better ground. He had previously finished fourth in the Coral Hurdle and I might look at the 2m5f handicap chase. The handicaps at Cheltenham are almost like conditions chases now and we'll stick to either Grade 2's or 3's or handicaps. Henry De Bromhead

After race at Gowran Park Sat, 21st Nov, 2015 (1st) I'm delighted with that. I thought it was a brilliant ride from Johnny as he's not easy this guy,. He jumped super for him and I loved the way he sat on him going around the top after jumping the fourth last. He's an exciting horse. I'd day the John Durkan will come too soon and we'll sit back and see with him. He'll get an entry for the two mile one at Leopardstown and we'll see what the ground is like. Obviously we have Sizing Granite for that as well. There's also a nice two and a quarter miler at Thurles in January. I think he loves that soft ground and we'll get our business done in the winter and then see where we are. Henry De Bromhead

Ends Bolger was on ATR yesterday talking about Gilgamboa and a couple of others if you can find the link LR, remember he said it had come out of the paddy power ok, good experience in big field and looking at race this Saturday before deciding other targets

I am surprised the trainer thinks this race will be too hot for him. If Vautour does not run he has every chance of winning this race.

So it looks like VVM could still enter this race.

"VROUM VROUM MAG could still tackle the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, as Willie Mullins confirmed the race was a "possibility" for the exciting mare."

Very interesting. Would take the world of beating with her allowance in my opinion. My treble of Douvan (2/1), Faugheen (Evs) and VVM (12/1) lives on!
