Has anyone heard anything about De Name Escapes Me from the preview nights, I put him in the horses to follow section after his win at Clonmel where I said I'd backed him at 20's and he hosed up. I also said you'll never get that price again and now he's 40's for this, I can tell you that if he reproduces the Clonmel run you will definitely have backed far worse 40/1 shots in your time, could do with a more experienced jockey on board, and truth be told I thought one of the big owners would have him in their colours for the fez, maybe they'll keep him back for Punchy

Hobbs apparently very sweet on his horse at Adare.

The trainer has another live Bumper chance in Wait For Me, who impressed on his sole start at Ascot in February.

Hobbs said: "Cheltenian had run in Ireland before we got him and was very keen-pulling - a hurdler - whereas Wait For Me is much more a three-mile chaser.

"He's tough and had a fair bit of experience before he came to me, so I think he will cope w ell with the hurly-burly side of it."

Small stakes for me but sticking with RPR top rated Pylonthepressure and Moon Racer for my picks. Pylon won his ptp on yielding so better ground shouldn't inconvenience him and MR won so impressively both starts especially at Cheltenham from decent opposition. Usually hear about 10 stories of someone saying theirs will win so best just to go on what you have seen.

I'm sticking with Bordini, like the way it finished off it's last race, but also on MR ew as Chelt form always a huge plus. This race always one of toughest to call.

Ricci just said on Paddy Power preview that Mullins wants to run all eight of his (Ricci wants to run three of his five). Last (and only) time Mullins ran that many the best he could do was Quel Esprit in 4th (2009); he has always done better with less runners. It's could be a sign he hasn't got a superstar. I would definitely take him on with Moon Racer, Wait For Me or Supasundae. (Assuming the surprise package doesn't get into the race, of course:))

I will follow you there BOF. I am reasonably confident you have studied this race in depth ;).

Good luck with your lad. Must be ranked above some of Mullins ?

Thanks MG. Word on the street is that we may need half a dozen to come out; in that case it sounds like the Mullins horses are rated higher. A little surprised if true, particularly Livelovelaugh. Anyway, we will find out more tomorrow at the 6-day stage. Just landed in Ireland and will be over to the stables this afternoon. And, yes you're right, much studying of this race. I realize now what a poor job I've been doing over the years trying to study 27 races - explains a lot in retrospect!;)

I heard (reasonable source) that Henderson is running 1 max if that is any good to you.

Thanks Mayo. heard something similar and it would be good news. Would like a couple of the Mullins horses to come out.As an aside he has so many horses that, last year he apparently left one back at the stables and it had to come over late (that probably rules him out of a job as a school bus driver) - with 50 horses this year he might forget to declare or something. If you have any more info please let me know.

Six day declarations tomorrow. I was interviewed by FM Racing in ireland so if anyone wants to hear what an excited, nervous owner sounds like please take a listen (it's the first interview) https://soundcloud.com/racing-fm/i-know-the-owner-with-irish-thoroughbred-marketing-wwwitmie.
On a related note I am very grateful for the support of everyone on this forum - we may not know if he runs until Tuesday but, for now, the dream continues.

Sorry BOF, I hadn't realised your connection to the horse, stupid me, I really hope it goes well for you, enjoy it while it lasts

Would love to see him run BOF. I really wish you all the luck in the world that he gets in!

Fingers crossed BOF, hope he gets there. Some experience having a Festival runner, will certainly follow it.

A big welcome to BOF and the upmost respect for joining this wonderful racing community at FJ. Not often you see connections spare their time to share thoughts here, so much appreciated.

Good luck with the entry and I will be supporting you on the day.:encouragement:

stuck a fiver on BoF at 100s on Betfair. Pretty sure is money back if balloted out but nice interest if he gets in.
