2015 Arkle Trophy Chase

cheers both. I will check out previous festival form, but it may be a case of the trends I have ranking him higher than perhaps his chance. I haven't done these for the JLT so i will see how he fares in those.

Post your rankings up if you get a chance. :encouragement:

Un Des Sceaux is the second worse priced favourite of the meeting.

If he doesn't fizz up before the race he will be the same price with 4 fences to jump.

Cant see your reasoning for that statement chelt, UDS is way ahead of rivals and if he dosent fizz up he'll be well shorter with 4 fences to jump.

Apparently Sgt Reckless is still undecided for this, connections would love to come here but won't run him on bad ground so has only had one run over fences, they could still take up the county option, he's around 20's nrnb for that

Clarcam 11/4 on the exchanges for a place. Looks value to me, superb jumper and Cooper has said at one of these preview evenings they will ride him to finish 2nd and possibly pick up the pieces late on.

Bryan Cooper to the Stewards Room.;)

I have added an Arkle odds table on the first post. It should under date itself when I enter the underlying feed sheet. Its a bit of a work in progress ..I havent worked out how to see a trigger to refresh more often but should be an easier reference if something posted on here you want to quickly check the odds of.

I think Smashing is going to run a huge race in this.Look what horses have beaten him over fences this season in Ireland....Don Poli.Wounded Warrior and Un De Sceaux...thats better form than any of the British challengers for me,25/1 a great ew bet and I'll put him in the forecast on the day to be second to the superstar that is Un De Sceaux.

I am no expert but Three Kingdoms is 16/1 for The Arkle and 33/1 for The JLT, so surely more money has gone on him for The Arkle?

So the punters must think he has more chance of winning that? Why would they run him as a 33/1 shot in the JLT?

Three Kingdoms goes for the Arkle it looks like - according to story in RP tonight. He is a much bigger price on betfair for the JLT so unlikely to go there. Could have decent EW prospects given a likely small field.

Welcome on board CGN.

Three Kingdoms gets another mention here. AP up ?

This was on Betfair.

Un De Sceaux is away and gone at the head of the betting at 1.76 - he'll win and win well, but he's no betting opportunity. Vibrato Valtat follows him in at 6.6 but it's a horse that went down by just half a length to the second favourite at Kempton that I'm interested in. Three Kingdoms is a gutsy little terrier, perfect for picking up the pieces in the Arkle and is a whopping 4.8 to place. AP McCoy, who rode a sensational race to win on him last time out at Doncaster, should get the ride and the pair are a match made in heaven.

I still have hopes for Sgt Reckless to go well in this, he could be a real surprise package if he turns up, good ground will suit, he ran on well in last years supreme, just the lack of experience that's a worry, connections won't run him on ground that isn't decent.
