Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

Fingers crossed for a good showing from Andy Dufresne back down to 2m, I doubt both he and Abac run

I'm very interested in Captain Guinness . Disappointed with Mullins entries.

I think Abacadabras is an attempt at a scare entry to other trainers, and then Gordy will run his others instead, including Andy Dufresne and Easy Work.

Elliott said: “Both Easywork and Andy Dufresne ran over two and a half miles last time but they could easily come back in trip.

“We have also given Abacadabras an entry and we’ll just see how the horses come through their work this week and make a decision on who goes where.”

Tiger tap tap will still be eligible for this won’t he?

Not saying he is Mullins one for this at all but strange he hasn’t thrown one potential big gun at the race. Not been impressed with blackbow over hurdles, janidill could be good but not sure if his rating is true more like an inflated handicap rating.

Blackbow entered in a maiden on same day as well

Buildmeupbuttercup went off fav for Mullins last year.

Maybe he's decided he doesn't like this race anymore after Min, Crap Mome and Getabad let the side down?

I'll have a look for a double on Easywork perhaps

Andy Dufrense is 25/1 here which might mean he's worth looking at again if some late money comes for him.

His bubble got burst but he's probably still alright compared to some of these.

I’ve added Captain Guinness to the Betfair Exchange markets for the Supreme on the basis of his debut run for HdB and his entry in the 2M Grade 2 on Sunday. HdB usually leaves loads on a FTO run (A Plus Tard, Minella Indo) and from what I can see Captain Guinness never had a run anywhere in his life before winning FTO, and travelled and hurdled beautifully. If he improves markedly for that then he could be in with a chance on Sunday, and a lively outsider for the Supreme.

Captain Guinness is a great name for a horse.

I like him already.

:encouragement: Good mention for him by Q and Hfox in Quevega's thread that I didn't see before posting.

Looks an interesting shout.

His race has worked out really well too with horses in behind winning/running well next time. I've added him for Supreme at 33's. Sure to improve again.

Ryan Moore flew over to ride Meticulous in the bumper and has his first entry in the MF so Joseph must think a lot of him

Cashed out all the AD bets I can for the Ballymore and moved them to him in this race at 25/1.

I still think he's a top notcher and this race could suit him perfectly. High cruising speed, excellent jumper. If he wins the Moscow Flyer he will probably be 7 or 8/1 second fav.

Also like Captain Guinness and was quite taken with him first time up. Have had a few quid at big prices on the exchanges.

Shishkin entered up 2m5f donny next week. Probably more relevant for Ballymore thread but I've banged the supreme drum for a bit so posting here

Donny very flat and easy track so I wouldn't read much into that. Just need to get a run into him and a win hopefully!

Yeh it's probably just a case of wanting to get the experience into him somewhere easy that's left handed.

Worth remembering he's a PTP'er, so the step up would not be an inconvenience. I have him mostly 'any race' so will now cash my Supreme bet based on the entry.
