Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

Think that it was Kevin Blake (it was on a podcast anyway could of the been the racehour) that said that the cut looked really nasty and would probably need stitches, but i suppose if nothing is being said its probably not that bad.

I see Blackbow has an entry over 2m at Navan on Sunday. 50/1 across the board looks a fair price about him to me. He was entitled to need the run last time out at Naas after 18 months off & Embittered didn't disgrace the form in the Royal Bond. He still took a keen hold & raced too freely throughout the race which wouldn't be ideal but no doubt he was very fresh & you may see a more settled horse in future.

The fast end to end gallop in the Supreme would be ideal. Can't see the Ballymore suiting his running style at all.

Shishkin (N Henderson) is entered for the 2M Novice Hurdle at Newbury 12.50pm next Wednesday.
Be great to see him on the track, and I’m sure several of us await his seasonal debut with interest.

I think he is going straight for the kennel gate at ascot.

Chantry house opened 13/8
probably a bit big looking at the form. although we can't be certain how he'll jump I suppose.
took it anyway.

They must have taken down the market a few mins after opening it cause I can inly get SP's now.

edit: shows the price history of 13/8 into 11/8!

yep they priced up for first three races then backed off.

Early bird catches the worm. You must spend your afternoons refreshing B365 Q. You never miss a trick :highly_amused:

I was half hoping Q was going to share his little secret alert system with us.

sitting at the laptop all afternoon with many windows open.
the secret is having no life :highly_amused:

:grumpy: I'd kill to have no life :p

I think I’m the only one (foolishly) beating the Master Debonair drum (Kev is on the cowbell) but at least they’ve decided to stick to novices and not gone down the handicap route. Could have a match up with Shiskin if he debuts in the same race.

Joe Tizzard, son and assistant, said: “Master Debonair has been given a rating of 136 and although the owners were keen to have a look at handicaps he will probably go back to Ascot for the Supreme Trial on the 21st.
“We are just a bit weary of chucking these horses that don’t have masses of experience into a 20-runner handicap.
“They are not going to get a lot of light and things their own way too much in races like that so the Kennel Gate will be his next stop.”

As someone on Chantry House at 35/1 any race, as well as someone who got stuck into the 4/5 earlier tonight, I would love to see him hack up tomorrow on the snaff. The bumper form and his PTP is very decent and he left an impression on me after a good visual performance.

4/5. Jesus your brave. It's a strong novice for sure on hurdles debut, id be very hopeful he'll win. But I'd fully expect him to drift out, as he's not priced according to the task. I reckon he'll go right out 7/4 15/8 or so... before a bit of late money.

Could be well wide of the mark as he's 4/7 atm. But a general hunch.

Although I backed him for the Ballymore pre-season, the 40/1 with Bet365 has enabled me to cover him for this race too.

I’d agree with that- the race has plenty of depth- people on on twitter were mentioning how a 365 trader would get the sack after opening 15/8... little bit over the top imo.

I think it could drift back towards even money.
But the second favourite is what I based my confidence on the early price being good.
I watched his debut where I thought he was value for more and mentioned him on here, but thought he was beaten fair last time.
Has to give 6lbs to the Fav here and the form of his bumper is very good as most people are aware.
Just needs to be fit and ready and able to jump adequately I reckon.
Unless there's something else lurking thats a lot better then shown so far.

Backed Stolen Silver today E/W, and also for the Supreme (50/1) with cash out available, which I'll look to take advantage of after the race today, if things don't go to plan.

Every chance Chantry House may need further.

I am also aware Chantry House could be absolutely anything and may well bolt up today, so have added him 40/1 with cash out available also.
