Laurina entered up over 2m5.
Makes sense when the racing manager has said he thought she was beat in the CH as she needed further. (Reason I backed for the stayers)
Although this is what I think would be her likely race if I had to choose I think it's worth remembering Duc Des Genievres started off over 2m 3f and hammered Tower Bridge over 2m 4f before running and hammering the opposition in the Arkle.
But would he have, if cilaos Emery who beat him over 2m diddnt get injured?
Also up for debate.
Bapaume entered too!
Laurina's entry means nothing, other than she's ready to run, or at least near as can be.
It means nothing mainly cos willie enters horses all the time and doesn't declare them all.
Also, Willie and several of the top trainers state on regular basis that the trip ain't that important - especially first time out in maidens and novice races etc.
If she stays fit and healthy she could run in a number of races at the festival and we'll find out then.
The question about her perceived lack of pace is a non sequitor really as regards the arkle or JLT.
As I can't see any horses in either market that could have finished fourth in a champion hurdle after a one race prep in their second season.
There don't look to be any horse with real speed/class in the arkle market
I've said previously that the JLT would be a good idea as I think it will be the same course and distance for the new mares chase in 2021.
But if the arkle looks winnable then she could easily go there.
RSA seem unlikely.
I can also see her returning to hurdles in March too. In any of the three championship hurdle races, although she would have had to have fencing issues of some sort you'd think ?

Strange that they diddnt bother giving her an entry in the 2m chase they've used every year for the arkle. Which is only the day before.
Highly unlikely shed be ready for Monday but not for the day before.
Circumstances DDG won a v poor Arkle

Interesting you would pay such attention to the racing manager's comments in order to place a bet.
Even though he's the same bloke that steered her toward the Champion hurdle in the first place.
Don't get me wrong. I can see how this would make you think the team will go further with her this season and her price for the stayers would be attractive with them having other options for other races etc.
They had no interest in the mares or the stayers. They only wanted to try and win 1 race, she wasnt good enough.
I applaud them for trying.

You missed Dolciani Dici from last year.
And is Ballycasey a Joke ?
And that wasn't my exact point.
Point being that he ran in the Arkle after being campaigned over further in the season. The fact he won it and the quality of the field is actually irrelevant though I did include that in my initial response.
