National Hunt Chase (4 miler) 2019

Since becoming Graded, no winner with less than 3 chase runs.
5 of the last nine had competed in at least nine chases

The problem is with this stats is not many will meet them this year, I certainly believe the best two horses in the race is the top two in the betting and the stats will go out of the window this year.. if not start looking for a 25/1 winner...

Haha yeah, this was mentioned yesterday - I was just literally reading the stats page about Willie Mullins smashing trends on Gaultstats and Ballyward is one that he will have to break down this year :)


I did say very recently too, if I was having a bet now, it'd be on Ballyward.

I dont think CC will go either, dont see why they would run against Delta Work. But its gunna be a long week!

Do we think Gun Diggers destination is linked to the outcome of this discussion? If GE is forced to run CC in the RSA against DW then GD will run here?
 
If Champagne Classic goes RSA and Gun Digger is indeed Lisa O’Neill’s ride, who is Codd riding?

I’ve cashed my 20/1 CC bet for decent profit. If he runs, I will consider going back in. Though after Jury Duty last year, I’m not sure Gordy knows the right type for this.

Very much hope Codd will be riding Mister Malarky in this. Always thought this horse was the likely winner if he came here and Codd on board only reinforces that in my mind.

I think with the stamina in the pedigree and the fluent jumping especially with a top man like Codd on board, and a plunge would be well justified imo.

Eddie O'Leary has said Gun Digger goes here, Lisa O'Neill rides.

GE has said Lisa O'Neill has the choice and that O'Learys want Champagne Classic in the RSA

yet

Codd has said he'll definitely be on one of Gordon's.... and somewhere else they've reported Codd's rides to be Measureofmydreams, Ucello Conto, Envoi Allen and Champagne Classic

That was what we had all assumed.

Except Eddie O’Leary is telling everyone that CC goes for the RSA and Gordy is saying that’s what he’s been told.
 
Really looking forward to this race. Discorama, Ballyward, Ok Corral, in that order.

Exactly the Same last year with dounikos who was a short fav. And like wise every year, marinero short price, roi des francs who was also fav. Don poli..... wounded warrior was fav. All sub 10/1 trainer wanted to go and refused to let them run.


They've a live chance in gun digger and could throw in blow by blow. Graded horses they want in the grade 1s.
