Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

I've nothing again Tom O'Brien at all, but Richard Johnson is the Champiopn for a reason, and Cobden is on the crest of a wave...

Surely Dickie Johnson could be on EDN if he wanted to be... loyal to Olly Murphy or not, he will want to win?! TD a big price on that theory?

Yeah i agree Kev im in the camp that jockeys play a huge role so important factor for me, He probably could and obvs Tizzard saying he won't have Cobden means he knows he hasn;t got Johnson too.

Iv'e a mate whos sweet on TD but with the English form so closely matched if you like him you have to like 2/3 more too. Toughie

Yeah one of Ollys ... plenty seem to like his other runner on social media .

Gavin Sheehan has rode Itchy Feet in his last few so I'd imagine they'll keep the same partnerships.

Going to have Felix Desjy, Itchy Feet & Elixir De Nutz going at it hammer and tong from the front, not to mention Fakir D'ourdairies who likes to be prominent. Could be an interesting battle up front but can quite easily all cut each others throats too.

Must be a slight concern for the front runners, no?

Gavin Sheehan won’t need or want to be making the pace on Itchy Feet. Only made the running the day he beat Grand Sancy because nobody else wanted to.

Is any concerned about Olly Murphy's form? I know a lot on here like some of his for Cheltenham but could you trust them to run well at the moment? some not too bad but since the flu jabs his stable seems quiet.

Absolutely set up for Klassical Dream. Strong stayer over this trip - surely they wouldn't swerve such a good set up?

And a few others that wouldn't mind the tow, Aramon, Angels Breath, probably Al Dancer too. Sure set up for an intriguing race.

Angel's had a toe last time and couldn't get to a big future chaser going course record speed who missed the last two hurdles.
And people think he'll thrive in an uphill finish ?
Only way that's going to happen is if he wasn't right the last day.

Not entitled to improve for his second run over hurdles?

Softer ground should also benefit

True.

The possibility of him being not quite right on the day is likely though, flu jab? Not sure how much that takes out of the routine myself, but will be used as a reason for sure.

Don't mean to burst people's bubbles here...

But I've heard from a reliable source that Ruby will be on Aramon for the supreme and Klassical Dream for the Ballymore

wanting softer ground suggests a stamina bias is going to suit.
Except he had every chance to show his stamina last saturday and didn't.

He could improve though.
It's an open race.

But I reckon he's been found out personally,
and henderson wanted him right the last day to convince owner to go supreme. So he was probably fit enough.

But Archie might know if Ruby's committed to Aramon this far out?

Ruby won't have committed to anything this far out. I reckon.
Why potentially miff other owners when an injury could crop up anytime.
He'll be flirting with them all as we speak.

The last bit of serious work for Cheltenham contenders on the first 2 days will probably be the Thursday or Friday of the week before. The Brains Trust will sit down after that and confirm targets and riding plans. Nothing is set in stone until final decs.

All I'm saying is I have a friend of a friend of a friend who works for a particular bookmakers that hosted a Cheltenham dinner last night which was attended by Ruby, Matt Chapman etc. This is where it was mentioned KD will be going ballymore and Willie's num 1 for the supreme will be Aramon.

Benie for the mares was also mentioned as the banker of the fez
