As a general rule you’d do well to avoid backing horses as fragile as this chap. He might put it together for 1 in 10 outings but not a betting proposition for me

His average SP at Cheltenham over 7 runs is just over 8/1. His form figures read PU6132PU5. Has never finished outside the top 2 at the festival, which includes a second on a gold cup. He has put it together, as in won at Cheltenham 1/7 and is 33/1 to win this. I can’t stop Kev, all things considered I think it’s a excellent bet

You make good points and I agree the win rate leaves more than just seeds of doubt, it’s just a huge price. Put it this way, id be surprised if any of the other current 33/1 shots won it, but I don’t think anyone would be surprised if Minella Rocco popped up at that sort of price.

I made the decision and backed him last night :p

The 16/1 NRNB is a fair price. I've taken the 33s despite his profile, as he ran yesterday so I know he's in good form now. Getting an injury or missing the race, I'll take on the chin.

Wouldn't have been entered for a joke IMO
 
Drove to the local boyles this morning with my brother.

Had €50 ew at 33s, the brother and girlfriend had 5 each way. Went to counter and he said he'd have to ring the traders went gulp thinking they'd limit the bet but he took it all.
 
Jonjo 3 winners and 3 places in this the last 10 years didn't have a runner last year.
 
Just been having a look through for some interesting Novices for this and came up with Chef Des Obeaux, Le Breuil and Crucial Role. Anyone like any of these/know if they are intended runners?
 
I've cashed out Talkischeap at 25/1 (full stake)

and backed with Sly NRNB at 20/1 instead.

Isn't worded as NRNB, it states "Non Runner Money Back For Bets" sounds like it's not cash back. Will ask.

It is NRNB, just worded differently for whatever reason!

Have added both of them now Kev, had Minella Rocco but cashed that one out @ 14's with 365 for 22's with Ladbrokes :very_drunk:
