National Hunt Chase (4 miler) 2019

It wouldn't normally be, but given the conditions of last seasons festival I had the true stayer's for a race like this going close in the AB, and it at least looks like 2 of them, OK Corral & Ballyward may well end up here. Santini certainly would have been on the list too, but the early money for him was all RSA and that was decision made IMO for that one.

It looked solid form to me for the same reasons.

...Paul Nolan reports Discorama is none the worst for his fall at Naas;

“Thankfully he seems 100%. I think we’ll be looking to bring him across for Cheltenham. I don’t know what the handicapper will do, but he’ll be entered for the novice handicap Chase and he’s in the RSA and four miler.”

Brilliant news, thanks eggs. That was some fall. Scenes if he got in the handicap which he won't. 4 miler all the way

Disco down to 16s for this.... still looks a decent price

Who put Discorama up at 33/1 for this?

Noticed Irish mark dropped 1lb for Blow by Blow after his run at weekend.
142 Now.
I'd say he's still in the balance for here or Kim Muir. Or Nowhere cos he's shit.

Me.... was only with Unibet and Tote and that went quite quickly but Coral were still 25s for a while

A great spot, well done

I got 33s with Betfred after you highlighted, which was available most of Sunday evening, cheers

Good vibes for Ballyward coming here = from Ruby's latest interview - ideal type for the 4 miler etc. etc..

Yep, I would say nailed on to come here after his comments today.

Can see Ballyward, Disco and OK Coral fighting it out....

It would annoy me as an owner if I was expected to supplement him less than a week after the entries were made. Wylie would surely have something to say if that were the case

I don't think that there's any intention of supplementing him. However, a month is an eternity in Willie time.

Wylie should make WPM pay the bill of they do.:devilish:

He has little chance in this season's RSA so they probably will go down the 4m route anyway.

Yeah, that's good news (regarding the target) for Ballyward backers in this race.... pretty conclusive IMO - (RTV - on demand interview with Ruby) for anyone with access.

He does say he doesn't have the experience of some of their winners (like Back in Focus / Rathvinden) but he's good and the race will suit him (that's a helluva lot of paraphrasing)

The trip will certainly suit but I'm slightly worried about the lack of experience. It's turned into a classy race since they made the changes to race conditions and ok corral / ballyward both have a touch of class.

I cashed out Ballyward 33/1 after he hung right on chase debut. Wasn't taken by him physically either. Not my best decision.
